Would this bulb work for a 5 cell flashlight ? 7.5v

I doubt it seriously. These are like miniature night light bulbs. I got these to replace the incandescent bulb used in a rock crystal lamp. Very low light output.

Are they dimmable (thru a rheostat)? [Using 3 AA batteries/1.5v]

Lowering the voltage will dim the bulb, tho I don't know how well a r/stat would work ? (on a DC lamp) at such a low voltage, and almost no amps !

will these work in a 6v lantern?

I ordered this bulb specifically for an old lantern that uses the recrangylar 6v battery. They DO NOT work in the lantern I have. The old bulb works so I know the battery is good. The base is bottoming out as well. Not sure why it will not work. Tried both new bulbs as well.
