Use a screw gun to help with easy assemble.
This is a good quality composting bin. Moderate assembly required. I would suggest tightening each screw with a screw gun to help with assembly as you go. My compost is in and waiting for results.

Pretty decent but center divider *** DOES NOT FIT *** repeat *** DOES NOT FIT ***
First, the pros: 1) Extra screws and nuts were provided. This is rare nowadays, but this came with 4 extra sets of screws and nuts and 2 extra center pipe end caps 2) The nuts are self-tightening: you only have to get them started a few turns then you can screw the screws from the outside (with the included Philips screwdriver) and they will tighten without having to hold the nut with your finger or a wrench. This is key since it is hard at times to wrap your arm inside of the bin to hold the nut while tightening the screw from the outside. 3) Thickness of the plastic is pretty good for what this is. It presents as fairly sturdy when assembled. 4) Large size. I got the 43 gallon model and I can tell it will hold a lot of compost. 5) The tumbler rotates smoothly and easily. 6) The legs are sturdy and easy to assemble. Now the cons: 1) not that easy to assemble. I'm 60 years old. I've been around the Ikea block several times. I've assembled huge pergolas and gazebos and carts and sheds and all varieties of machines and devices. I have every tool. I can do plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, both rough and finish, drywall, irrigation, tile and marble. I've done it all. But this wasn't that easy to assemble. The worst part was thinking the center divider should fit nicely into the center grooved channel that goes around the inside perimeter of the tumbler, when it doesn't even come close. I think the manufacturer said, "let's use one center divider for all the different tumblers we make, fit be darned." I spent more time trying to make the center divider panel fit than assembling the rest of the unit. Check out my pictures to see how poorly it fits. I tried flipping it over, rotating the divider every which way, but nope, didn't happen. 2) You have to work your way around the tumbler, adding one panel at a time. It was difficult at times to hold the panels in place while I was screwing them together. There are these raised, stubby posts that are supposed to snap into holes on the adjacent panels and many times the snap was not as snappy as it should have been. Some of the connections seemed a little loose but upon completion, the sides seem to have pulled together as a team and the weight of the compost may push the edges out enough so that those posts snug up against the holes. Summary: I believe this was worth the price and it will function well for several years.

Works great
Was sort of a pain in the rear end to put together. Save yourself the torture and use a drill. Otherwise it came together nicely and works great!

Prepare yourself for battle
First off, the product itself is pretty decent… once assembled (cue ominous music). By the end of assembly I felt like I had run a marathon. My fingers were raw. My back ached. I wasn’t sure what day it was. Just know that you will definitely need strength (both physical and emotional) to construct this demon barrel. You will also need the better part of a Sunday afternoon and a buddy willing to fight alongside you until the end. The beginning isn’t so bad. In fact, it’s deceptively easy. That’s the problem. You’ll get a groove on and assemble all 8 sides before you read the instructions and realize you were only supposed to attach half of them. That’s where the horror starts. You’ll have to detach at least three panes to get the interior disc of Satan to fit into the center of the barrel. It will not fit. You will be confused. The directions will not help you. Not even Jeff Bezos himself can help you now. You have to do this on your own. Once you have inserted the disc, I recommend taking a break, getting a snack or a coffee, and then preparing yourself for battle. Take deep breaths. Play “Eye of the Tiger” or something similar. You will somehow assemble a few more panes and sort of manage to fit the inner disc in the respective slats. It will be hard. You will build character during this process. Then, it’s time for the last pane. I’ve never experienced childbirth, but I have to think it must compare to the amount of force needed to complete this task. There is risk involved. You may bleed. It will be scary. It’s all going to be okay. Finally, you arrive at the end of the journey. You have now joined an elite group of discount gardening tool assemblers. You’re a different person than you were when you started. Anyway, once you actually get it going it works well. Happy Composting!

Easy to assemble, does what its supposed to do. Patience is key.
Easy to set up and easy to use. Doesn't take up much space at all, especially around your garden. The composter has two separate sides for two different batches of compost. There is a sliding door on either side that makes it easy to check on the progress of your compost easily. We start one side and leave the other side empty for a while so that were able to turn it and mix it up easier. It doesn't have a handle or anything but it has grooves to grip and turn it. The biggest sticking point about this item is BE PATIENT. This is just a compost bin, it doesn't magically make compost, that happens naturally. Fill it up, wet it down, keep it spinning, and you'll be composting in no time!

4 years later love it!
Bought this is 2022, now it is 2026. I use this for kitchen scraps, chicken manure, free coffee grounds and shredded paper mostly. It churns out about a stereotypical 1 cubic foot bag of composted material every 6 to 7 months. Faster in the summer. I have it in partial shade in a backyard in central florida. We have never noticed a smell coming from it and it is right under our main kitchen window. It was so easy to put together. After 4 years shows no rust. Still turns like the day it was built despite constant use. The lids also have separate symbols to show which compartment is currently being added to and which isn't for ease of use for the not gardeners in the family.

This is the best compost bin I have ever had, it’s easy to assemble and cooks the compost quickly. It turns so compost is ready to use quicker than a stationary bin. One side can be emptied while the other is left to compost. Easy to use! We have been very happy with it!
