Vent Slipper

There are things I really like about these slippers, such as the excellent arch support, the roomy toe box, the firmness of the non-slip soles, and that they can be worn in a wider range of temperatures than most slippers I’ve had, but there’s room for improvement—especially considering their price:—the insoles are not cushioned…at all. After half an hour walking or standing in these slippers my feet were sore, even with the great arch support, so I had to add cushioned insoles, which brings me to the second issue:—they’re wider than expected. I’m very happy with the roomy toe box, and I plan to wear these slippers with heavy socks once cold weather sets in, but they’re either a man’s size 7 or they're a woman’s wide—and I don’t have narrow feet. (I made sure I ordered a woman’s 7, and I don’t want to order a size down because the length is good.) I ordered some good memory foam insoles, which has helped a lot because, even with regular cushioned insoles, the slippers were just too roomy without heavy socks.—the draw cord is a nice feature, but it should be in addition to elastic or something stretchy around the top. I have to manually release or tighten the draw cords to get the slippers on or off, so I can’t just slip my feet in and out of them. And because the slippers are so wide, I have to keep the draw cords tightened to keep them from being sloppy/loose on my feet, but the draw cords loosen some while I’m wearing the slippers, so I’m constantly having to tighten them.However, despite the issues, I did keep them and give them 3 1/2-4 stars.

These are by far the best slippers I’ve ever owned. The boiled wool both breathes and keeps my feet warm. The soles are solid and non-slip. The design keeps the top of my feet covered and avoids the floppiness that occurred over time with my previous suede moccasins. I like the adjustable fit at the top, although the loosest setting works fine for me so I rarely need to adjust it. I have freakishly high arches and inserted a special arch support inside each slipper, and now these are the most comfortable shoes/slippers I own...wish I could wear them all day. When I pulled out the insoles that came with the slippers, I observed that they were very well made. I should note that I always wear the slippers with socks, so I can’t speak to the fit and feel if worn with bare feet. And I was very pleased that I could purchase these directly from Austria at 2/3 the price offered by other retailers on Amazon. I am altogether pleased with this product!

I have always valued great slippers - I wear them constantly in the house from October to April. And I believe in the adage "you get what you pay for". I always assumed that Uggs make the best slippers, but my last pair had no support. So I searched and read that Giesswein makes wonderful slippers. So true!! They are SO comfy and the arch support is great. While a lot of reviews said that you should purchase one size up, I bought my usual size 9 and they are perfect, even with a substantial sock. A great investment.

Great support, usable inside or outside, casual.

I have Morton’s Neuroma (which is basically an incredibly irritated nerve between two of my toes) and was looking for a house slipper that would have support and a wide toe box. My physical therapist told me about this brand. I would highly recommend. The toe box is on the loose side but that’s exactly what I needed for this condition.

I love these slippers and they are so warm. I am able to use my orthotics as the insert is removable. For a normal foot, the arch support would be good. I am very pleased with the quality of these slippers and think they will last a long time.

I just received these in the mail and tried them on. They are an acceptable slipper shoe, with an emphasis on slipper. I wish the wool was thicker. I think wind would be felt through these. The insole is removable so a replacement insole with arch support can be easily inserted. People without foot problems would be fine as is. I would rate the USA size as women's 6M, not a 5. I wear 5.5 in shoes and 6 in tennis shoes. I easily put these on while wearing thick socks and my feet slide a bit. I had hoped I would be able to draw the ankle area tighter with the elastic (seen on the top of the shoe), but the elastic draw is minimal.

I can scarcely form the words here--these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! After five foot surgeries, perfect fit is of utmost importance to me, and I'm willing to pay for it. After reading other reviews here, I purchased a size up--I am normally a 38, but purchased a 39--and they fit perfectly. What a pleasure! and they're so warm! I am a new Giesswein devotee. Thank you!

Eigentlich ist diese Marke immer wunderbar. Habe schon einige Hauschuhe usw. gekauft. Leider missfallen mir hier einige Dinge. Das betrifft natürlich nur mein persönliches Gefühl. Die Einlegesohlen sind unglaublich unbequem, komischerweise wurden meine Füße überhaupt nicht wirklich warm, mit der Sohle kann man nicht gut abrollen, ein wirklich stattlicher Preis von über 80,-€.

I am loving these slippers!They are a little more substantial than most.My left foot is a bit larger than the right and fits better. The toe box is nice and roomy....I have put my orthotics in them and am very happy!My favourite part is that I can slip outside in the cold and snow with the dogs.....my feet stay warm and dry! I stomp them a bit on the front entry rug and I’m good to go!Bought hubby a pair too and he’s impressed!

The best way to describe these slippers is that I work from home and I haven't taken them off since they arrived. I got my son a apir, too, and he feels the same way.
