Great product
The clay is a bit tough at first but once you start molding it, it gets easier! It does take at least 24 hours to dry. This is my first time using it and it reminds me of adult version of play dough! I made a tic tac toe game that loooks like lucky charms. I hope to make more projects in the future! 10 outta 10 recommend!!

Better than crayola air dry clay!
This clay is some of the best on the market. It’s soft enough to mold but durable enough to get those finer details in. You can also add water to soften it up a bit if you need and it doesn’t crack easily upon drying either! It does have a bit of an earthy smell like grass, but that’s because it’s natural! The box stores the size of the clay perfectly and it’s 10 pounds so there’s a lot!!! Perfect for the price.

Girl is heavy
The box when it gets there really doesn't look 10 lbs, but it is! I assure you! So far I've really been liking the clay. I've been using it to sculpt a ball jointed doll. It's has a couple cracks, but overall it does really good with a slow dry in a very neutral temperature. It's also really only cracked on spots that have gotten really really thin and there's no support to em. So I can't say I'm surprised by it. I don't see it as better or worse than any other clay I've used so yeah I love this stuff.

Hands down AMAZING!!!
My son and I love this clay!! It is very durable and pliable! You can work on the same piece for hours just by getting a damp paper towel and draping it over! I would not recommend air drying unless you plan to continue adding pieces before oven baking. This is due to the clay becoming very brittle if air dried. We have the best results by oven baking and sealing the finished pieces.

Wonderful activity for my grandchildren
I needed an activity for my 10 year old grandson and granddaughter and my 13 year old grandson. I wanted them to have fun and use their imagination. This clay was an overwhelming success. It kept them busy and they made various items( birds, turtles, fish, a bowl studded with rocks they found). They had a great time. I have enough clay left over that I am going to try my hand at creating a “masterpiece!” I thought the clay was moldable but put down wax paper so it doesn’t stick to the surface of the table. It had an earthy smell but I think that’s how clay is supposed to smell. Overall, I am very pleased with the clay.

Easy to use, but very brittle once dried
This product was easy for children to shape, but the three projects that children in my class created both came apart completely. One group tried to make an Egyptian water clock, but found that when water was added to the final product, the clay resoftened. The other two groups both had their final products break and crumble on them even when they tried to handle them with care. I tried to hot glue them back together, but that just led to more breakage. I haven't used other air dry clay to say if this is typical of the product, but it was disappointing for my students.

Best of the Air Dry Clay Products - Perfect if You Don't Own a Kiln
This is a great clay for home use - especially if you love working in clay but don't want to spend the big bucks on a kiln. I read one review that states that the clay is too wet. Wet clay it is, packaged in a plastic bag which works great for re-closing to keep it moist. The wetness decreased once the clay is wedged properly (thrown down on a canvas covered board or table) it becomes very workable. I found it suitable for coil and slab construction. I have not thrown it on a wheel but it should work fine for that process also. Once dry, it becomes much lighter in color and dries very hard. It can be etched or sanded without difficulty. The dried piece can take painting or staining without a problem. If you choose, it can also be sealed (before or after painting/staining) and becomes more durable with several coats. I have thoroughly enjoyed having this at hand for making items for necklaces as well. A great product for both adults and children.

I recently purchased the Amaco 4630-3C Air Dry Modeling Clay for a sculpting project and I am very happy with the product. The 10-pound size was perfect for my needs and the gray color was exactly what I was looking for. The clay air dries evenly and consistently, allowing me to easily sand and paint the final product. I would highly recommend this modeling clay to artists and hobbyists alike who are looking for a versatile and reliable material for their projects.

We ordered thinking it was air clay, instead of air dry clay. Very heavy, kids still enjoyed it. Make sure to wrap it up. We wasted half because it dried out.

Terrible product. Everything I’ve made has cracked in the drying stage.
