Just works
Used this in conjunction with KOOBOOK 3.5" Floppy Drive Connector. This plugs into an unused USB 2.0 header on the motherboard. you can always add a USB 2.0 header extension if it bothers you just hanging off the motherboard. this works great.

Pure Function
Used in my X570SI Auros Pro AX and worked great. It was a bit snug to get around the front panel pins, but the stand off distance was just high enough for the wires to bend under. Similarly, it sits extremely close to the GPU PCB, but fit just fine for me in the end.I used it to plug in a 4-port Mayflash Gamecube adapter, and so far no issues with the functionality. If you have a motherboard with the extra USB header, are lacking sufficient USB ports, and have devices you want to just stay plugged in permanently, this is great. Just remember that this will be inside your case, so wireless dongles may not be the best idea with full metal PC cases which act as a faraday cage, unless you have small USB extensions to allow placement near a side-panel window. For wired adapter devices like my Gamecube adapter, you may consider cutting holes in your case to allow immediate access.Note: The color of the plastic in the USB port for me was white, not black as depicted in the listing.

at least 4 stars
First thing 1st, it doesn't get any easier than just plug-it-in; after that, one may have questions - like will any receptor provide the needed function? So far, best I can tell, that is a yes - but subject to change anytime, until the desired operation is fully functional. I'm going to be plugging in a bootable USB drive for Windows 11, it is a workaround for the 1.2 - 2.0 TPM change, phasing out Win. 10; my unit is so old it doesn't even have the "proto-version" of the TPM - 1.2 or otherwise. As it turns out, this is the best situation to be in as there is no 1.2 to be in the way. This is a 10$ part, pretty cheap, I guess - never bought one before, but it was comparable to average on here/Amazon. The bootable USB drive is another 20$, so for 30 bucks I may have found the way easiest for me to keep this "old dinosaur" 7010 Optiplex in the game for a long while yet. Scrapping perfectly good units just because of the Win.11 changeover is absurd. If my plan works, I'll be back to bump this to all 5 stars, if it can provide the proper/adequate/needed transmission speed.

Maybe the dumbest thing I’ve done that actually worked
I wanted to give my pc Bluetooth without getting a new motherboard and the wifi card I got that was supposed to have Bluetooth had really bad drivers so I never got Bluetooth working and I was tired of using up a usb port so I got this to go on the second unused usb header on my motherboard and plugged it directly into that, the range isn’t great because its a cheap usb dongle but it’s enough to do my whole room with my pc in the far corner (about a 20ft radius) and it does work flawlessly plus I ended up gaining a usb port in the process because this little dingus has 2 ports on it

Great for UNRAID server
I used this to put my Unraid OS drive inside my PC to keep the cats and kids from knocking the thumb drive out of the back. Works great.

Great for Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
I decided, when I was building my new computer, that something like this would be perfect for using one of my USB 2.0 headers to run my wireless keyboard and mouse receivers. Then I don't have to use up the USB ports on the outside of the case.

Works but too big to have two side by side
I bought two of these because I noticed I had two unused USB headers on my motherboard so I thought I'd try to do something with them. The card was just a tiny bit too wide to install two of them side-by-side, so I could only install one. It wasn't as useful as I had hoped because the signal for wireless dongles wasn't strong enough after going through the case, but that's not the fault of this product. It works. I just wish they could find a way to enable two to be installed in adjacent USB headers.
