Baldwin Spin-On,13/16" Thread,5-5/16" L

This is a great filter, fits 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500hd duramax.

I’m well into 350,000 miles and going strong from using only the Mobil 1 oil filters on my truck, but when I recently read Gale Banks had tested oil filters for the Duramax and this was the one that stood out for them I decided I’d make the switch. The reality is I’m just a driver, enthusiast and my own mechanic, not a Duramax engineering expert like the people at Banks are so I’ll trust what they say, and after all, they have nothing to gain from these filters and even less to gain if your truck isn’t working at its absolute best.I guess I’ll see if I can put another 350,000 miles on my Duramax after making the switch from Mobil 1 filters to the Baldwins, after all, my decision to use the Mobil 1 filters was only based on it being a brand I knew with a good reputation, before seeing the Banks test report I had never even heard of Baldwin filters, so my own reason of using what I had been certainly wasn’t very scientific.

Baldwin makes excellent filters (for just about anything that needs to be filtered) and the heavy duty construction is a plus. While these are a couple of dollars more than the ones you find at a big box store these have quality built in and this filter, as of July 09, 2015, is still made in the USA. As others here have noted, there are no cardboard end caps or flimsy metal casings. This fit my 2007 Duramax (LBZ) perfectly.

This is my go to oil filter for my L5P DuraMax. Quality construction with good filtering media. The price and delivery time was reasonable, however, although each filters was in their original Baldwin box, they were shipped in a thin soft package which left the boxes trashed and filters scratched. They appear fully functional but really? Glad it was not grandmas fine china… only taking 1star off due to the packaging issue

Been buying these for my 07.5 lmm. Does what it needs to do and low costs. I have heard great things about Baldwin filters.

I am using this 2 micron filter as a replacement fuel filter for a Airdog 2. The last (same) filter I cut into to see what is being trapped by the filter. I was able to see that it was effective in trapping small particles of what may had been dirt/grit.

Baldwin are continuously being rated as one of the top filters in the industry and this one is no different. While this is a Duramax diesel filter I use it on my 99 Chevy Suburban 454.
