Heavy duty!
This is great quality! I really like that it's cast iron and not hollow pipes or cheaper metals like some are! It's the perfect size for my fireplace. This will last a Long time!

Good quality
This thing is pretty heavy, it is not some cheap stamped steel. Have used it for one season so far, and it has held up just fine. It's on the small side, but fits my older Majestic-brand fireplace insert just fine.

What you're looking for.
Been using for 3 seasons. Burn wood everyday of the cold season. No warping, no loss of size nothing. Fire breathes easy. Good height and can handle serious heat. If this fits your fireplace it's easily worth the price.

Unbalanced
I bought this grate a few years ago to replace a heavy cast iron one that was starting to burn through. Finally, this season I replaced the old and put this pretty one in. I'm impressed with how well the lighter grate is holding up to the hot chars. I expected it to burn through real quick. The more serious problem is that the legs are not placed just right so that several times a week the grate tips forward and puts a hot, charred log against the fireplace insert window! I've opened the door to fix the situation and had chars spill out to me! Otherwise it seems to be a quality grate. I plan to either tie a weight to the back or stick a bolt on the center, front side to create a fifth leg to prevent further spills

So far, so great!
I was a little leery of the build on this grate as I have melted what seemed to be heavier iron ones. After a few months of steady use, this is holding up very well. Fits nicely in my wood stove and a decent height to keep airflow underneath. Very pleased with this purchase for quality and price!
