Product works well for growing veggies, but made out of unreliable materials
This works very well as a small greenhouse over my vegetables. The 28" size works well over 25" resin pots from Costco that I grown many vegetables in. I sometimes use them to get seeds like spinach and arugula started and they work well in protecting lettuce. I've even been able to grow cilantro and dill in January! I live in N. California and we get frost from late December through March sometimes. I actually never use the stakes because the pots keep the greenhouse covers in place for most of the time unless we have really bad winds. However, while I do like the design, use these regularly and plan to buy more, their rods are very flimsy and will snap on their own. They bend and are supposed to be flexible to hold the shape, but they can break very easily just from the stress. The plastic is decent but can also rip easily. After about 2-3 seasons, the plastic disintegrates. I've owned several of these over four years and repaired them as well as I can with duct tape and clear tape. While I can try to join the snapped pieces of the rod with duct tape, the pop-up cover never regains its shape. I try to buy these when they are under $25; I don't think that they are worth more than this judging by the cheap materials and all the repairs I've made to them. They are unfortunately the only product on the market that fits over my pots so well.

Great Protection in Moderate Climate Areas
I have many of these covers, and I actually use them year round. In the winter they provide a bit of protection to keep crops like peppers producing into January, and have even helped me overwinter plants that otherwise would behave like perennials. In the spring they help me get plants started early, and in the summer and fall I can keep birds from decimating new growth on plants. They are not entirely trouble-free: the cross-bars sometimes snap from tension, but the plastic has never failed. I have cannibalized the cross-bars to salvage a cover, and have used the covers without the cross-bars over other types of supports, so broken ones aren't a total loss. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (Berkeley), where we don't have much freezing in winter and not a lot of high heat in the summer, so the little extra insulation these provide really help my plants. I don't know how much help they would be where it gets really cold, and think they might be problematic where it gets really hot, even though they have ventilation windows to let the heat escape.

Actually, the meyer lemon bush loves it
When I first bout the meyer lemon plant from a local nursery, it had six large lemons on it. The bush looked like it was cut back slightly, but it was in a 5 gallon planter. First year, I had it in the ground - no more lemons grew from it - very little new growth. I looked up info on the web. Some Meyer lemon tree owners claimed that it should be in a container that can be transported to a shelter during the cold, so I did this. Another year went by - very little growth - no lemons. Then I went back to the nursery. The manager/owner rec'd a processed chicken fertilizer and planting it next to a brick wall where it can get heat. I did. Another year passed - very little growth - no lemons. I jumped to the conclusion that this plant was grown in a hot house of sorts. The meyer lemon has been in the NuVue Greenhouse for about 3 months since January - there's lots of new growth and many new lemons coming out.

It would have been a good product if the quality is dependable
I should have written this review when I bought this item in late March. But because I did not have a chance to actually put it into use until recent weeks. The size was the most important fact in my purchase decision and the description of the product seems a right fit for my purpose. If the quality of the structural support was strong and durable, then this is really a promising product to container gardening. The problem I had was that out of the 3 I bought, 1 was broken before I even open the package. I did not bother to return as I did not open all 3 until recently. Last week I purchased 2 more, and today the package arrived with 1 of them broken again, the exact same way.

Exactly what I needed...
I am so pleased with this product so far! I wanted to purchase something to help keep a nice humid environment for my hibiscus cuttings to propagate and this is doing the job perfectly! I've had it set up for about 3 weeks now and all the cuttings have rooted and shown signs of slight growth =)I also decided to start some extra plants by seed (heirloom squash varieties). They sprouted in half the time that it usually takes them- and look very healthy. My only qualm is that the tent has two ventilation windows with a screen that you can open- which is great, but I wish one of them allowed you to unzip the mesh screen for easier access- you have to take two steaks out of the ground and flip the tent to tend to anything inside. This really isn't an issue because it's not like it's heavy or hard to use at all, I just think that it would make it an even better product. So glad I purchased- I definitely recommend.

Great as a portable porch size greenhouse.
These are fantastic. I was skeptical but in the end these met my need for a porch size temporary greenhouse to get my chili plants through our short San Diego winter. The vents work great during the day and with a reptile heat rock at night you can grow tropical plants in any weather. Very happy. Thanks NuVue.

Good, and bad.. Long and short of the matter!
All in all, I can say one thing, its sturdy enough, and made well enough for it to serve the purpose I had for it. I have three 7" plants with pots inside it, inside, acting as a bio dome for humidity, and it is holding up well enough. It folds flat, and pops out when you untie the straps that hold it shut. The biggest complaint I have about it, is more a problem with amazon, than with the product itself. They took over a week to get my package to me, and had to eventually refund not only the 2 day shipping I paid for, but were so dang late that they had no choice but to issue a full refund to me, if they had any hope in keeping my business in the future. The delay hurt one of my expensive tropical plants, almost killing it. Thus my rating, as it would have been given a full 5 star rating had it been available when it was needed, but was not. If my plant had died, my rating would not have mattered, as I would have stopped ordering from amazon completely!

Works well
I bought it for much cheaper than its on for now, was highly satisfied when I purchased for $15, did not buy a second when I saw the raised price. I feel like it was a reasonable and good purchase before the price increase.I like the venting and the size was perfect to take up half my kitchen table in the window to start my flowers. I was able to fit a lot under it.

Love these little green houses for spring seedlings and covering ...
Love these little green houses for spring seedlings and covering up my plants when the hail and frost happens. They are made of good quality plastic and has to little windows which you can velcro up. They come with 4 pegs posts as well. Would recommend these.

It does what its there for
Would of preferred a little stronger plastic, so i do find the Velcro i actually pulled one of as it was stuck and had to use a little strength to open and broke the plastic, still works though . The product itself is all in all a good product stands upto the weather i used for 2 months for the roses.

Bigger than I expected. Good size.
I use it cause cover my indoor bonsai trees at night during the winter. My basement can get a little chilly. I put a blanket over it. It was well packaged and in great condition when it arrived.

perfect for what I am using it for
the plastic stretches a bit after setting up, but it works for my purpose. I am using it indoor for a table top greenhouse for some small orchid plants during winter when the air is dry.
