Really good on old, hard clay. I added a little to an old, dried polymer clay I had and after mixing it a little the cclay went from premo to sculpey 3, lol clayer joke. It really works to softening clay.

works as described, but I found it easier to achieve the same effect using liquid polymer clay. Apparently crumbly clay (especially when the clay is old like mine) occurs because the polymers degrade and adding more polymer can help this (according to google). It worked really well without making the clay squidgy (which using the softener alone caused).

I bought some polymer clay on clearance at Michael's and it was SO CRUMBLY. I did a little research and found this came highly recommended to help with reconditioning polymer clay. So far so good, turned clay powder into workable clay. Also tried this on the Dollar Tree clay that had horrible reviews and after adding three drops to each bar it feels almost like Sculpty. I still have to fire these pieces in my oven but so far it feels and works like brand new fresh higher end clays.

Yet again a full five stars for Sculpey. I was hoping I wouldn't need this stuff and I tried some home remedies for softening my clay but I gave in when my way went south (Mineral Oil). When you get some of the effects clays they can be hard. So far the Opal, Trans and Glow in the Dark clays needed this. I know people have to rotate their stocks so the potential of getting a brand new, right off the line, freshly packaged block is out of my expectations so, I bought this. How easy is it to use? Well, I am not healthy and thus I am weak. I need the clay to be really soft or I have to take the next day off of using my hands. So, the kids bake is perfect texture for me. So, with the hard stuff I put it into a container, broke it up as best I could with my blade then put the drops on sparingly like the instructions said. I left it over night and although a bit chunky, it softened up well. I am going to get my mortar and pestle out for the rest of my clay that has hardened. BTW, I don't see this as a flaw, thus the five stars. It isn't a flaw because it is expected and reasonably explainable.

Perfectooo!! Trabajo con la arcilla polimerica de hace muchísimo tiempo , tenía unas arcillas que estaba para tirar porque estaban en plan migas de pan y durísimos los trozos. Las he salvado gracias a este producto, evidentemente hay que amasar pero en unos minutos está como nueva! Y nada de gastar el bote entero como dicen por algún comentario , me han hecho falta 3 gotas para media pastilla de arcilla. Y me encanta porque también sirve para pegar una arcilla a otra al hornear. El bote es “pequeño” pero para el precio y el funcionamiento que tiene para mi es perfecto, repito seguro

Must have item if you use polymer clay as it does dry slightly with age but this will bring clay back to useable condition. Need just a few drops.

Funciona perfeitamente e vale cada centavo. Usei algumas gotas, amassando com as mãos e passando pela máquina de macarrão duas vezes. O cheiro não é agradável, mas é fraco. A clay que parecia um pedaço de madeira, agora está super macia. Porém, vaza um pouco pelo dosador e a embalagem chegou toda molenga ( não sei se pelo próprio produto que vazou ou por outra coisa ). Recomendo e comprarei novamente quando acabar, mas espero que tenham um cuidado maior e que o fabricante resolva os problemas da embalagem.
