How To Solve The Rubik's Cube: The official guide to completing the world’s most famous puzzle!

I loved I got a brief history of the cube and the directions were straightforward and simple. Solved cube quickly.

The last layer permutes table is just that, a table. But, if you can get over that, you get really good advice about the first/top layer... "Do it intuitively" he says. This is true. You can't solve a cube in 3.89seconds if you're thinking R, U, R', U'.... etc..... it's just too. many moves... so, this book is LIGHT on detailed solutions, good on ideas. If you want some schematics to study the cube, this has a couple or more good pages, but if you are really trying to dive into it mathematically, I don't think this is the book for you. If you want to get good at it the proper way, this is a probably the place to start. IDK if it will easily get a young person over a hump, but they should be doing it more intuitively anyway.

The book was well done and I recommend it but have 2 suggestions. I like that they put the code/key on every page but the images were microscopic. I think they can do better. For the steps to fill in the middle section, it would have been very helpful if they labeled the pictures for which side of the cube is supposed to face you when you start the steps.

My 10 year-old son just solved his first Rubik’s cube 5 minutes ago with the help of this book and insisted I write this review! He says it’s amazing because the book is very straightforward and easy to understand, and the Rubik’s cube generally helps with patience and perseverance. He adds that the book also has a nice section on the history of the Rubik’s cube.

Need a instruction book, a lot of patience

Excellent, easy to understand guide. A must for beginners in the Rubik's world of puzzles.

Great Book

Only for 3x3 rubic's cube. It is well coloured and printed. Steps are easily given with pictures associating with each.

Good illustrations and with simple explanations. Highly recommended for children.

This is an excellent Rubik’s Cube handbook and a great present for anyone wanting a clear and structured learning guide. The instructions are easy to follow, well-illustrated, and broken down step by step, making learning far less intimidating. It explains the logic behind each stage clearly and helps build understanding rather than just memorising moves. Suitable for beginners but still interesting as skills improve. A really useful guide that does exactly what it promises.

I had the Rubik's cube when it first came out, and as a kid used various books to help me solve it. Now as an adult I wanted to try the cube again, bought this book, and it is the easiest one to folllow I have ever tired clear instructions, large coloured diagrams to follow, helpful tips

Bought this for my son . But he found the book a bit difficult . And then he discovered few websites which were much easier and he can now solve the cube within 2 minutes
