Rice comes in many textures, and flavors. Used it for 30+ yrs. Unmatched aroma and flavor. For added texture and flavor, add a good pinch of Saffron, or 2-3 tbs of Black Sesame Seed. To prepare is use 1 1/2 cups of water for per cup of rice. Briefly soak and wash rice several times until drained water is close to clear. Add add 3/4 to 1 tsp of Himalayan pink salt. Bring rice water mix to a boil in covered pot, and reduce heat to medium low. Note if served with home pressure cooked chicken, lamb or beef use broth instead of water... Enjoy. P.S. Love Basmati Rice
For years, I have purchased Royal Basmati rice. As a result of the Pandemic, no travel to cities where I may be able to purchase rice (any basmati rice), I tried "regular" rice when I could find it in my local store - that is a last resort! I was happy to find this on the internet even if the price was more than I was used to. I use it for all my rice dishes, as well as grinding into rice flour for cooking and baking because I am allergic to wheat gluten.

a few days after ordering the rice, I found a similar item, same weight for a couple of dollars less. so I will go to that place first to see if they have it available before ordering from Amazon

I am updating my previous Comment - This is not BASMATI Rice
I had a comment about how the order was delivered and contacted the Seller, they promptly responded with a satisfactory explanation. Later, I sent a follow up comment and received a response within a couple of hours. I opened the first bag and I was thinking I received a quality product as promised, but my wife didn't noticed I opened one bag and opened the second bag (I received 2-20 pond bags). That rice is not Basmati, it may be a "blend" with some basmati, but I have to eat it with chopsticks. My rating went from 5 stars to 3 stars, just because customer service contacted me basically overnight.
