Got this for after my total hip replacement. It’s a good product and works well. I give it 4 stars because the material is not soft on the skin. Also, the leg strap goes through a buckle and it’s hard to put on and take off when you can hardly stand or bend at the waist. The other ice pack I ordered from another brand has the leg strap velcro directly on the pack. I came to really appreciate this after surgery.

This worked really well after my hip replacement surgery. It is a great size that I used in two different ways, for pain and swelling at my hip and also down by my knee.It stays cold for a long time and refreezes fast for the next use. This ice pack wrap is something I will be able for more than just hip pain. It is made very well for years of use.

I had a hip replacement and I purchased this hip ice pack. It’s working great for me. It’s very easy to use and extremely helpful.

I ordred two for recovery after hip replacement and I am disappointed with the functionality. The ice packs do stay frozen for a very long time but the manufacturer's claim that they are "flexible when frozen" is not accurate. They are very stiff and difficult to use and each time I get one out of the freezer I spend about 5 minutes manipulating it so I can use it. The reviews that suggest leaving it out to thaw for 30 minutes before use have merit but that negates the claim that there are fewer trips to the freezer since I need to take it out, go sit down, then return 30 minutes later to get my ice pack. The straps do an ok job of holding the pack in place so I can move around while icing but, for the above reasons, it does not mold well to the hip area. The straps are also difficult to maneuver both in the freezer as well as when stapping it on. I have several different ice packs, all of which have advantages and disadvantages just like this one, and I find Magic Gel is not better or worse than any of the others.

I have used this for a week now. I was afraid the size would be too big. But it actually wraps around where it’s supposed to. I like the fit. Yes, if you freeze it, you have to let it sit out for at least 15 minutes before it’s playable. (Sp) . Stays cold for the recommended time ,(20 minutes).

This was a lifesaver after hip surgery!! It helped keep the soreness and swelling down. It stayed cold long enough to be very beneficial and stayed in place. Was ready to use again with 2 to 3 hours. This is definitely a must for anyone going through hip surgery recovery and after physical therapy sessions.
