New to Moroccan sardines and I love them
Recently I've been exploring the world of tinned fish, namely, sardines. There is a huge variety in terms of species, packing, textures, seasoning, and flavors. I've gone through the cheapest of the grocery store brands (under a $1 a can), and I'm inching my way up. I've been curious about Moroccan sardines because many of the more expensive brands are from Morocco, and they used larger fish than the cheap brands. The Moroccan seem to be similar to sardines from Spain and Portugal but cost much less. I'll try the expensive Spanish and Portuguese sardines someday, but I'm not going to pay $4 for a small tin of fish when I can pay less than $2 per can for essentially the same thing. The Crown Prince are packed nicely, all the positive comments are correct in my opinion. They are firm, taste good and packed three to a can. The light smoke is pleasant and not overbearing. I didn't notice any problem with excessive amounts of scales, and they aren't overly fishy. Overall, I'm impressed. I do prefer the taste of ones packed in oil or packed in water over sauced sardines (tomato, hot sauce, mustard, etc.). I prefer to add my own condiments. They came with a nice long shelf-life date of 2027, and I'm happy with my purchase. I will buy these again.Update: I've finished half the case and I want to state that I love these. They are terrific and the best value out there in sardines.

Delicious!
I have purchased these sardines 14 times on Amazon because its so good. But sadly the priced has roughly doubled recently. This seems like price gouging! I will not be buying anymore.

Good value.
One can had red peppers instead of mustard sauce! I enjoyed the first few cans.

Nope. Covered in scales, huge fish
I just finished a case of Wild Planet olive oil lightly smoked, thought I'd try to save a few bucks and try these. Bad choice. These sardines are huge. Who cares? The bigger the fish are, the older they are and thus the more mercury they have. Smaller fish are less poisoned. Second, the Wild Planet ones are scaled, these are not. These are covered in scales. And, these are packed in soy oil which is very unhealthy compared to olive oil. Soybean oil is full of omega-6 which is inflammatory, contributes to chronic disease. The flavor of these is good. It's just, having a mouth full of fish scales is a disappointment. I eat a sardine every day for omega-3, I consider them delicious medicine. These are just a little less delicious. I'll have to scrape them off before eating. Lesson learned.

Tasty
Good flavor, more of a creamy mustard sauce... and not really fishy smelling which was nice, but strange. Haha

Not as expected
I ordered them in mustard, but the mustard was white, and the smell was incredibly bad. And since I can’t return them, they’re garbage, a 12 pack.

Tastes great
I just don't like that this contains "vegetable oil" but that was my fault for not reading into the ingredients. Tastes good, the fish is high quality, and it's not too spicy at all if you're sensitive to too much capsaicin. Small gripe: be careful when opening the cans as some contents may be under pressure.
