First Essentials by NUK Fun Grips Hard Spout Sippy Cup, 10 oz, 2-Pack (69729)

Love these cups. They have always been our go to for all our kids and the one I suggest to friends and family. We have been through many different brands and find these to be the best because they are easy to clean, very durable, easy for little hands to hold. Spill proof too!

I will only buy NUK cups. Nothing else works. I have three kids, my oldest is 13 and he used these waaaay back when. With babies number two and three I sought out the cups with “the little white insert thingy!!” Thankfully both times I was able to rediscover the NUK brand. These are inexpensive, don’t leak, kids love them, just amazing!!! These are still as reliable as when I first used them 12 years ago and most brands can’t say that! They aren’t usually super flashy, but we don’t mind. I was excited to find this unusual new color combo pack on Amazon and ordered it immediately. My daughter was excited to be handed a new color cup this morning I can appreciate the change too. They are just different enough from the old purple and pink cups. The cups are very glossy, or maybe that’s just because our old ones are so scratched. I usually use these cups for 2-3 months before replacing them. To be clear, I replace them because I feel like the plastic may Harbor bacteria that can’t be cleaned away, but even after 3 months, they STILL DONT LEAK!! Occasionally if your toddler throws these really hard the white plastic but may pop out, but that’s rare to get a cup where it fits loosely enough for that, even over time. I can’t say when is the last time that has happened, but it’s happened once or twice before in the distant past.

These sippy cups are exactly what we needed to help our 2 year old transition to whole milk. The flow control/leak and spill proof is awesome and works very well. My daughter has fallen asleep and left her sippy cup laying on the couch and bed and not one drop ended up on our fabrics. It stops the milk from flowing through and leaking when she's not actively drinking it. We add cereal to my daughter's milk to help her stay full and she's able to drink the thickened milk just fine. My daughter tends to bite and chew the spout of her sippy cups. She has caved the spout of her other sippy cup but this one remains sturdy aside from the scratch marks. One drawback though is that the shape of the inside of the spout has a dip on the sides of where the flow control goes where milk can dry up and be trapped even after several washes. I was able to get it clean by soaking it in hot soapy vinegar water. The flow control tends to stain and trap liquid, but I'm able to clean it with a straw cleaner or end of the bottle cleaner. This speaks to the durability of the flow control because no matter how many times I've cleaned it throughly the effectiveness hasn't changed.

I ordered the purple and blue combo but I got the green and blue one instead. Only reason I rated 4 stars. Other than that fully functional and truly spill proof.

I cannot believe the price for these. They are everything I needed for the past 15 years over 4 different kids. They are hard spouted to transition off soft spouts for the toddler years, easy to clean with the removable insert that just twists and pops out and goes right in the dishwasher, and there are no soft spots where mold can hide. But best of all, they perform really well. My two year old gets way more to drink out of these for less work than his other sippy cups. He and I both started laughing when he took in too much water the first time, not realizing he didn’t have to work as hard. Lol We love them. They are super durable and don’t leak at all. I’m tossing all my other worn down cups and sticking with these. My favorite part is that they sell the replacement parts for only $3ish bucks for a two pack. So I’m going to go ahead and stock up on those. Love them! Can’t believe I wasted so much money on all those other cups. 5 stars for sure.

These are great! No leakage. They have lasted us now 4 years.

The best thing about these for me is how easy they are to clean. They come apart in a flash, throw the pieces in the dishwasher, and don't have to worry about liquid stuck in some piece that didn't come out in washing. Milk doesn't get trapped because the nonspill piece is big enough for water to easily get to it. Second is how easy it is for both my boys to hold and drink from. Don't have to suck super hard and doesn't flow so slowly they barely get anything out like the 360 cups we've tried. And they've never spilled or warped even after lots of use (and dishwasher cleaning). The only cons are that they don't fit in a standard cup holder and they will let out tiny bits of liquid if your child bangs them repeatedly on something. These are completely acceptable to me as we only use them at home and I just tell them to stop if they start hitting them on something. 😊

Finally a sippy with a valve that DOESN'T fall out! Magic. Simple, easy to clean, just great. Doesn’t fit in some cup holders.
