Great product to use instead of tape. This formula cures quicker than most other brands I have tried in the past. That makes it better to use on the job.

This is my review of the item (Gardner Bender) I like this product been looking an effective tape that will help me with my electronics repairs that will replace electrical tape,specially working with wires. This is effective in sealing wire connection that a heatshrink tube can't do, the problem with a heatshrink tube is you have to insert first the tube in the wire and sometimes if the size wont fit so you have a problem using the tube, An electrical tape is good not messy but the problem is from time to time the tape adhesive become lose and may comes off from the wire. what I like of this product is you just apply it to the area,it bonds in the wire and protect, dries quickly in seconds I think 20-30seconds but to be sure just give it a minute and reapply again if necessary. PROS/some CONS +Quick dry +A better alternative to Heatshrink tubing and electrical tape +Comes with a brush applicator +Effective +once dry it felts like rubber like +other colors available Some minor CONS -A little bit messy when applying -The brush applicator is big/wide so when applying it to small areas is not recommended, you must have a small brush like from a nail polish brush to use it on small wires/areas Recomendation: Try to use a small brush from a nail paint brush to apply to avoid mess. Overall I recommend this product

Work great used several coats to seal up wire connectors

This product was used to seal a repair to an underground electrical to a telephone cable. It was easy to apply (3 coats, 1 day apart) and, so far, no problems after 2 months. Being bright red it was easy to see what parts had been treated.

This stuff is amazing, where has it been all my life!!! Goes on like thick goop, dries like electrical tape with ability to bend. Worked great on some older 12v electrical circuits where the insulation was cracking and exposing the wires.

I'd heard of this in a few places and decided to try it with my latest project. I purchased both the Black and the Red for 12V applications. It is fairly odorous so use in a ventilated area. I applied liquid relatively thickly so that it was opaque and it takes a little while to dry. It dried to a fairly flexible coating to stranded copper wire, adheres to silicone, cable nicks, other wire insulation and solder joints well. So far the compound has remained in place and has not torn or begun to peel in a couple weeks. I cannot attest to being a water proof coating, how it would stand up in abrasive locations or longevity so use with common sense.

It does what it says. Magic! Pity there are no instructions... but it really works. You will need a little brush as one in lid is far too big.

Love this stuff so so much, It's a life saver! I originally got it to use as a rubber like coating for a horse hair whip I was making I needed something to clean up the area where I glued the hair to the whip. This stuff worked beautifully for it. Then I started using it to seal up cracked water buckets from the winter 😱 and now I use it for anything and everything seriously wish there was an option to buy it in a giant tin lmao I want to try to seal the bottom of my bfs boat with this stuff bc I can totally see it working wonders!!! -Dries quick -Isn't too stinky, a little bit but not any worse than other glue or paint products -Multiple coats work best (2-3 ideally) -Covers thick holes/cracks well -Doesn't drip or run -Can seal its lid shut a bit so advise putting a tiny bit of Vaseline along the rim for easy opening
