This is the best "mind relief" garage item to own. It does exactly what it says, it's easy to install and works like it is supposed to. No more worries as to whether the door is open or closed when you walk in and your arms are full of items or distractions abound. Or you wake up in the morning, and the door was left open all night. Did my husband close the garage door? He was the last one in. You just check the Garage Door Minder. Peace of mind. Well worth it.

Exactly what I was looking for! Since moving into my current home 10 years ago, I sometimes would forget to close the garage door. The door directly into my home from the Garage, with the garage door button, is up some steep steps, which I don't use if my arms are full - I go around and through the Front door which has only one step. So probably a few times a year, when I go through the front, I would immediately get immersed in home things and forget about opening kitchen/garage entrance and closing the door. Usually, a neighbor will notice and call, or later on we'll have occasion to open the door and notice the garage door still open. A few times it was the next morning. Luckily we live in a fairly safe neighborhood and haven't had a problem. However, it does drive my wife nuts. THEN, I saw this and installed it. Well six months later, I can report it works Exactly as advertised: alerts each time the garage door is opened, and then closed. No more open garage doors. No more wife scoldings (at least about the garage door), and no more late night neighbor calls reminding me I'm a bone head. The batteries lasted six months. I had the delight of speaking with the Inventor when ordering more batteries and he was an honest, friendly gentleman. The kind of person I want to spend money with. So if you need reminding, look no further. Its an easy install, works as its supposed to, and goes 6 months on a set of batteries.

Aug-01-2025. Amending my previous negative review / comments. Updated to 5-Star👌. My mistake! I realized later that the product was not broken. After some investigation, realized that the problem was flat batteries🪫in the sending unit which is affixed on the garage door. Replaced flat batteries with genuine Garage Door Minder batteries (bought on Amazon). Problem solved. So, my current view of this product: Very Good. I no longer forget to close the garage door😎👌👍. I recommend this product because it is extremely easy to set up. Reliable. There are no confusing 'SMART Gimmicks' to mess up the simple setup. Setup is easy and fool proof. Great device to have. I would accidentally leave the garage door open on occasion. Big safety risk. I got this little device and now it’s easy to know if the door is open with the red flashing light placed right where I can see it. Easy to install in minutes.

Chime is very hard to hear and it won’t stay connected. My 30 days has passed so I cannot return it.

Works flawlessly and has already alerted us to leaving the garage door open by mistake. We had a door clicker that was acting up, and the door would go up at times when we were unaware, so this gadget alerted us to this problem. Thank you for inventing this gadget.

Works great, setup is easy. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the beeper function. It should have a mode to beep a few times when the door first opens and then shut off. I may not see the light turn on when the garage door first opens. Other than that, a great device.

This was the perfect device to alert me when someone leaves the garage door open! I really love that we didn't need to connect it to wifi or download another app! It was easy to connect. You can adjust the notification sound. Now I don't have to worry about the garage door being left open over night!

My order arrived at 16.42 and by 16.44 it was fully set up and working - does exactly what it says it will do! Sincere compliments on a fantastic product!

Easy to install and working great

The product is great, does exactly what it says and does it simply and well. I had a minor problem with it, and I can honestly say this is the best customer service I’ve ever seen. And it’s not that I’m a young adult and just haven’t seen much. They resolved my problem within minutes of sending an email. Unbelievable. Let it be an example to all who are starting a small business.

This garage door open alert item is the cats meow. It has solved a nagging problem in our home and works effectively and was simple to install. Customer service is exceptional.
