This is my second time buying. It works perfectly. My only complaint is the part that would hold a badge wore out over time; however, that time was three years for it to wear out from nearly daily use for those three years. Even with that it was only the plastic that wore out and the fibers made into it never tore so it still stayed intact. I never had problems with it not retracting and it has a strong enough pull for me to carry everything I needed for my job (badge, safety card, locking socket removal tool, and security token)

I’m sure anyone looking at these as I did, are looking for something that will hold up over time and not lose an important item. I have had many styles and types for a tap card at work. If my holder breaks and my badge falls off somewhere, Im stuck for the night and it’s a big ordeal to get a new one. The reviews I have read on here said a weak point on this is the clip. Im pretty mechanically inclined and so far it looks decent. I am pushing it in about 1/2” which is plenty to get it around a belt loop. Im sure with this style latch, if you forced it further it would break but you can feel the resistance so think it’s common sense. I could be wrong but I will update this review if and when anything fails on this since it’s an important item to me and I appreciate others reviews. I believe this item states that the cord is stainless with a coating. It looks and feels to be true. A review on here said they took a magnet to see but a magnet doesn’t pick up stainless steel. The badge clip on this has fiber woven into it so it looks like if the plastic cracked over time the fibers would still hold the badge. Tension is pretty tight but probably to hold the weight of keys. The end of cord where it meets the badge clip has a metal end that swivels inside the plastic end. I think that helps it not bend and fray when your pulling on it. My cheap ones would break at this point. This looks sturdy and feels sturdy. I received two in the package. Time will tell how it performs. I normally don’t leave a ton of reviews and you do have to take into consideration that out of over 10,000 purchases, some will be negative and possibly because of misuse sooooooo…. I will update if a when something happens. If you don’t see an update, you can look at my purchase date and assume it’s still functioning fine. Just an update… Still working well. The clip lever can pop in front of hook if your careless but this is very typical of this type of hook. I have used this every day since purchase and this happened maybe once or twice. I still would recommend this item. Update: Still working well. Nothing broken. Been 15 months. Definitely would buy again Update: One of these broke last week. It’s been 19 months. The swivel plastic piece that attaches to stainless cable cracked and came off. I am going to order another one. Seems worth it to me. Update.. The second one broke at the same spot. It lasted about 20 months. I bought another set. I think they are worth it.

I recently purchased these badge holders and found them to be of good quality overall. They are well-made and durable, which is great for everyday use. However, I encountered an issue when trying to use them with my car parking keycard. The length is a bit too short, making it inconvenient since I have to remove it from my belt whenever I want to go into the parking. If you're planning to use them for tasks that require a bit more length, you might want to consider this limitation. Otherwise, they are a solid choice for general purposes.

I originally bought a pair of these on October 1st, 2021. I kept one and gave the other away. It worked great for what it was but a year later the wire snapped. Now, I'm pretty sure I had too much on that badge clip. I had two badges, two keys, a small flashlight, and three metal usbs. It was heavy enough that the wire didn't retract all the way. On October 29th, 2022, I bought the item again. This time I bought two sets. I gave one away to my dad, but kept the other three. I removed the three usbs from the key ring and that solved the weight issue. I'm writing this on February 7th, 2024 and the wire did start getting worn down around the same spot but still hasn't broken. The piece that strings through my badges is, literally, holding on by a thread. I noticed that just yesterday and am in the process of switching over to one of my two other backups I bought at the same time as this one. 12-15 months of usage before having to replace the badge clip isn't too shabby. I use the clip five days a week and have to constantly pull on it to badge myself through doors around multiple office buildings.

It’s basically for my keys as it’s very practical an excellent purchase as I work at the airport operate bridges and holds my ID
