Great book. Used many times before and always pleased with it. Will no doubt buy again in the future! The layout is great, the wording of the questions is perfect for stretching children’s mathematical vocab.

These books are essential for any schoolchild. I introduced them to my daughter when she was in Year 5, and although we initially faced some challenges, the transformation has been remarkable. Every student could benefit from these books for mental maths.

I bought this book for my (almost 11 years old) son, who is starting his grammar school after the holidays. As I felt he needed to practise maths and to be challenged, I thought it would be the answer. And sure it was. The book is divided into two parts: the first part (Number, Word and Real life problems -level 4&5)would definitely suit Y6 pupils, who want to brush up on their maths and solve additional problems, but some questions would be very useful for Y5 pupils preparing for 11+ exam. The second part (Time yourself tests) allows students to check what s/he learnt. Answers included are a big help. All in all a very good value for money.
