OChem Lifesaver
A life saver for any organic chemistry student, especially if you have trouble with visualizing the molecules in 3D! The kit is the perfect size to put into your backpack (roughly 7.5"x5"x1.8"), and is lightweight. Using the kit is really easy too because the parts pop on and off with little force, and although the kit comes with a key, you can pick and choose what colors or sizes attribute to what element (save for the hydrogens, probably) if needed. Overall for $20 (I purchased the 240pc set), you get a kit that is a great price, good quality, sturdy, and works well for any time you might need to assemble a molecule whether it be for organic chemistry or otherwise!

Awesome! Helping me understand enantiomers.
bought these at the suggestion of my professor. (not the specific brand, just “get a 3d modeling kit if you can’t visualize it” type of thing). It’s pretty awesome for so cheap. MOST of the carbons have 4 bonding sites, but some have 3, and there are 2 with just 2 bonding sites (i’m assuming triple bond + another bond). most of the other bigger atoms are like this, in that they have less than 4 bonding sites (sulfur, nitrogen.) For oxygen there is only one with 4 bonding sites, but most are with two bonding sites- i think leaving us to assume it has its normal valency of 2 bonds and 2 lone pairs. there are also some oxygens with only one bonding site. i think it came with 60 hydrogen atoms? these, and well as the fluorine atoms, are smaller than the rest. it comes with a guide with the exact numbers of all the pieces, as well as a bonus stencil for shapes like hexagons, octagons, and a lot of other things. i definitely recommend! the material is good quality too.

Durable
This molececular model set is well-made, with durable flexible bonds. Note that the C60 buckyball is at a smaller scale than the other atoms (the set has 34 large carbon atoms and 60 tiny carbon atoms).

Good. Especially for the price. Arrived damaged.
It looks like it'll work for my classes. I'll update if I find any issues as a college student. The contents work great; i tried a few configurations before writing this review. I would give it 5 stars but since it came damaged I'm removing a star. They could've used a bubble envelope instead of a slim plastic sleeve. I'm going to have to figure out how to keep the box closed now. The tool is easy to use and I really like the supplemental info it came with. I like that I can reorganize the box if I want. Great value for money, educational value, and I hope any children in my life that come visit can have a fun time playing with them too

This thing is great teaching tool.
My son is starting his 3rd year of chemistry and LOVES this kit. He was especially grateful for the stencil to draw molecules type things (like I said HE is the chemistry student, not me). Great tool to help bring bool learning into something you can hold and look at fro many angles. Great teaching tool as well. I love to hear him explain what all the things are and how they work together. Container is nice and keeps everything organized.

Its not a huge set - but OK for small molecules.

I love the variety of options for bond length/types. I can make classic ball/stick models or more condensed versions. The bond angles are incredibly helpful for visualizing configuration, and I'm already getting a lot of use from this kit! Also, the ability to rotate around single bonds of all types is really appreciated! 10/10!
