McVities Milk Chocolate Hob Nobs, 10.5-Ounce (Pack of 4)

I recently picked up a 4-pack of McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Hob Nobs, and wow—these are exactly what I’d hoped for in a biscuit-cookie combo. The oat-based Hob Nob has that familiar hearty, slightly sweet crunch, and the milk chocolate layer is smooth and rich without being too sweet. They’re a treat that feels both comforting and a little indulgent, perfect with an afternoon mug of tea or coffee. I love that they’re sturdy enough to hold up when dunked, so they keep their shape and texture even if I leave them in hot drinks for a moment. What stands out is the balance: the oats aren’t dry or too dense, and the chocolate adds just enough flavor to elevate it. A single Hob Nob hits that satisfying sweet-salty note without feeling greasy or overly sugary. If you enjoy a traditional biscuit but want something a bit more special, these are a great find. Great for sharing—and let’s be real, they vanish fast once the package is open.

I don't like to write this review as everything I have ordered from Amazon.com has been good. The biscuits are good but there must be some problem with the storage or in shipment from the UK. The first order was perfect. The biscuits were individual and able to slip one or more from the package. The second order was far from perfect - edible but not with any eye appeal as the biscuits are stuck together and you need to use a knife to separate them. There are crumbs on top. So the rating for the first order is a 5 but the second order slips to a 2. I'm undecided about a third order. I'm so glad I decided to order for a third time! The packaging was fine and the biscuits were intact and able to be removed one at a time. Naturally they are delicious!! Sorry I wrote the first part.

Good taste

Great price and they are very fresh tasting. I ordered them during a historic heat wave knowing they would arrive melted together. That’s why the chocolate is so good, it is not waxy heat-resistant stuff used by some manufacturers. I put the cookies in the freezer upon arrival and will slice them apart as needed. It’s getting very hard to find these in retail stores so I’m glad I got a 4-pack.

Similar to McVities wheat biscuits but it has oats too. Slightly different taste.

Hob nobs are a long time favorite of mine from when I lived in England. A wheaty digestive base and great non Hershey's chocolate, what could be better.

Great cookies but was only shipped 1 of what was supposed to be 4 packages. I can’t tell if the listing is intentionally misleading with an argument to justify the confusion but either way don’t order.

I'm delighted that Amazon sells HobNobs, so now I can get them in the States! Anyone who has eaten HobNobs knows how delicious they are, and unlike some of the other reviewers, I didn't have any trouble with the packaging. The four-pack were tightly packed together in a plastic bag, and the boxes and cookie sleeves were intact. If you order during the summer, yes, the chocolate might melt a bit. The trick I use with these in the summer is to put them in the fridge right after they are delivered to cool the chocolate down, and then when I want to serve them, I take a pack out of the fridge and let them get to room temperature before I try to separate the cookies. That solves the stuck-together problem that HobNobs often have.
