I think the padding is just right... not too little or too much. According to these responses... it depends on whom you ask. Everyone is different.

What’s the lining material?

Although I'm not positive, since the materials are 95% cotton and 5% spandex, I think the inner lining is a layer of cotton foam. Has a slightly thick feel to it but it's not heavy or bulky.
