Replaced my Shimano deore XT cassette with this
Replaced my Shimano deore XT M770. Although it's build different ot fits and works great s to spend 17.00 the deore XT was 80.00

Used for a wheel-on trainer specifically
I got a new mountain bike and needed a quieter wheel/tire combo to use with my wheel-on trainer inside the house, so I was looking to put together a single rear wheel on the cheap. My bike uses a 9 speed shimano derailleur so I bought this cassette for this set up. I've put a few hours on it already and it has done great. Easy to install and seems to do a good job for the price.

Shimano deserves its reputation.
Most decent bicycles run either Shimano or SRAM components. I have rebuilt many bicycles I have retrieved from throw aways, dumps, even the ocean, and the first thing I do is upgrade the components. One cheap bicycle rebuild I pulled from the ocean, I put 7,000 miles on it because the right components do it. It's up to the owner's commitment as to how much they want to ride. Shimano makes good quality parts everyone can afford and deserve.

11-34 is a perfect fit for 2010 Surly Long Haul Trucker
This appears to be a genuine Shimano 11-34T cassette and is a perfect replacement for the stock cassette on the pre 2020 Surly Long Haul Trucker (mine's a 2010) non-disc brake version with cantilever brakes. So far, highly recommended.

Works great. Get the install tools
The best part about this is that my gears now change and 100% of all 9 gears work. Yay. The worst part is having to buy a special tool to remove the old cassette. I tried all the youtube hacks with old chain etc and that was not working. Got the removal tool, which did the job. So two real options are 1) go to a shop :) or 2) get this thing with the right tool (which is more than the cassette itself).

Excellent product
Exactly what I needed! I changed my 12 speed e bike to a 9 speed since I didn't need the super low gears. This cassette dropped right in and shifts perfectly.
