Vortex Optics Diamondback HD Binoculars 10x42

Very good value. Good quality, sharp focus, not too heavy

Great Binoculars, a little dear but well worth the price. Really easy to adjust and having adjustment on the eye cups is brilliant. Very secure with bag and strapping. My husband bought me a pair for my birthday, we took them on holiday with us, they were perfect. We absolutely loved them, so clear, easy to stow away when not in use, into their own bag. So I have returned the favour and bought him a pair for Christmas.

I live in Africa, spend a lot of time in the bush, and am a keen birder. These binoculars are superb - bright, light, sharp, well made, really well presented and extremely good value for money. I have used £2500 Swarowski and Leica glasses, and these Vortex diamondback are - in my opinion - nearly as good as them for nearly a tenth of the price. The case and straps are somewhat over-engineered, but very comfortable. Highly recommended.

I recently did a field test comparison with these vortex diamondback HD 10x42’s with the Bushnell legend e series & a Carson VP series 10x42 all with almost identical specifications and my conclusion is the Carson are the superior binoculars in most respects with a much more solid build compared to the lighter vortex which doesn’t inspire confidence with potential durability issues in the long term. The Carson however is a well made, solid instrument & produces a much more natural view and equally as sharp and slightly better at resolving details on trees and wildlife over longer distances. The Bushnell legend e was equally as sharp but somehow i preferred the view through the Carson, Unfortunately a lot of people are probably not familiar with Carson optics and will favour the big names like Nikon & vortex… but really give the Carson VP series a go as amazon were offering them at silly knockdown prices recently and they really are very good.. build quality inspires confidence in handling compared to the lightweight vortex which are not as rugged. Optically my vote goes on the Carson & Bushnell with the Carson just slightly ahead. * update summer 2024 * After a few years of extensive research into finding the best affordable 10x42 ie under £400 I’ve now settled on the Bushnell Legend L series, it’s not perfect but then nothing in life is…but it sure does beat the hell out of the vortex diamondback and gives the Nikon monarch HG a run for its money! As a keen bird watcher for over 40 years I've owned many a pair of binoculars, some good some bad. Unfortunately I would love something like leica or swarovski but budget won't allow such luxury. My current binoculars are visionary wetland 8x42's which are excellent binoculars. But I wanted something with a bit more reach and more of a quality feel, so after looking at many pairs of binoculars and reviews I finally opted for the 10x42 vortex diamondback hd,s. Wow what can I say, the quality feel of the body and the quality and sharpness of the image is amazing. They are light aswell, something to consider if you plan on being outside for any length of time. Only thing I'm not keen on is the crazy harness that fits to the case and is carried in the stomach area like a weird baby carrier. Other than that I would highly recommend these binoculars.

Brilliant binoculars for a good price. I would say they are medium size. Not too heavy. Have recently, after retiring, joined a walking group that also like to look at the wildlife. Wanted something of a good quality at a reasonable price. These are ideal. I was recommended to them by another female member of the group and am not at all disappointed.

Light,easy to use

The binoculars are exceptional quality - feel really well built - optics are super with sharp clear images in all light conditions. I researched these widely before purchasing, I'm more than pleased, and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a mid quality compact pair of binoculars. (the Vortex lifetime warranty is a huge benefit, and gives great peace of mind. ) Performance and delivery from Amazon was a great disappointment - initial (Prime) delivery advised as 27th Jan to 2nd Feb, but didn't arrive until 14th Feb - product should have been black, but green version arrived! Considering delay already, just decided to keep green ones, but not great service or information from Amazon!

Ayant déjà les 10x32 de même marque et modèle j'ai également pris les 10x42 pour un peu plus de luminosité. Comparé à des leica que l'on m'a prêté elles restent bien sur moins bonnes, avec un peu plus de flou sur l'extérieur de l'image, des couleurs tirant a peine sur le jaune et un peu d'aberration chromatique dans certains contextes mais je n'arrive pas le voir à chaque fois. Elle n'ont pas à rougir au vu du prix. Elles proposent une image très détaillées et nette. Si l'on compare les 32 et les 42, je ne trouve pas flagrant l'apport de luminosité des 42mm mais je note que la zone nette est plus étendue avec moins d'effet flou sur l'extérieur de l'image. Au final pour le gain de poids je prend plus souvent les 32mm. La qualité de construction est sérieuse, les molettes sont très agréables à utiliser. La pochette ventrale livré avec est utile, mais au finale elle ajoute encore du poids et un harnais plus simple me serait mieux aller. Je recommande la marque et le modèle. Bonne observations à tous

Binocs work well and were everything that I thought it would be

Excellent product. We traveled to several countries with it. Used it a lot for bird watching. Easy to use.

Videolarda gördüğüm gibi, görüntü kalitesi harika, az ışıkta da başarılı. kenarlarda görüntü gayet net. sadece biraz ağır.

Esta es una de las compras que me tenia impaciente por probar y quería que me llegara rápidamente, ¿por qué? pues porque he tenido varios prismáticos de esas caracteristicas, en definitiva, ha sido una buena compra y estoy muy contento, la calidad de imagen mejora bastante a otros prismáticos del mismo nivel, es mas, considero que está como dos o tres puntos por encima de los que he tenido antes. A destacar, acabado, calidad de imagen y peso. Referente a la funda, hay que decir que está muy bien para quien practique la cacería, para un señor que haga senderismo, es poco practica, aunque es cuestión de acostumbrarse, lo mismo que te cuelgas la mochila, la camara, etc, etc, puedes añadir otro arnés mas. Muy recomendable por su calidad y por su precio.
