Some sheets are easier to work with than others
This was my first experience working with this material. I used this to make some details on a small house I built as a gift. I purchased the thin sheets because I was using an xacto knife to cut the details. I learned the hard way to find the sheets with the most consistent and lightest grain, especially for cross cuts as I ruined a few pieces in the process. I don’t blame the vendor. Some grain in wood will differ. So I’m taking one star away for my inexperience.

It’s balsa wood!
If you are looking for squares of balsa, you have found squares of balsa!I used this product to make small houses for an advent calendar.It’s a dry brittle wood, but it is cheap, and easy to work with.I cut it with regular craft scissors, and my projects worked out just fine. However, make sure to buy extra, as it is brittle.
