Eshopps Sump Reservoir Tank

I have a MistKing for my Chameleon enclosure, and this is the ideal setup for it. Since it has a 1/4" inch connector for tubing, it's the perfect plug and play setup for a water reservoir. The issue with the Mist King setup is the bulkhead adaptor they make you install can break the plastic and cause leaks, but with this Eshopps Sump Reservoir Tank, no drilling is required, it couldn't be easier! Also, I like that the tank has a water indicator on the side so you can see how much water is left.The only complaint is that the tank has holes for wall mounting, however, water can go out of those holes. It doesn't make a lot of sense from a design perspective since water comes out of the holes making a mess.

Pros: simple, clear view window to monitor water level, Cons: Bad initial seal had to reseal internally myself.Other reviews are for something else like a control monitor (this doesn't monitor temps or ph) this is just a "fancy" blue plexiglass box that can top off your sump setup with fresh water to make up for evaporation. The one I received leaked in the bottom rear corner, so make sure you check it. I had to apply silicone (hence the mark down) to it and it works as described now with my eshopps sump float valve near the sump return. You wont be able to get a normal caulk gun to apply the sealant, get a small tube of 100% silicone from amazon (or local store) to get you hands in there. Used a glove to ensure a good seal.

So far it works as designed. What I dont like are the holes in the back side for hanging; you cannot get the water meter (floats in the clear window) to the 2gal mark without overflowing through these holes. The valve at the bottom is useless for me since I use a pump and valve system for my topoffs. I would love a model with no holes and no valves, but I would guess it would be way cheaper to get a large water jug and throw your pump in it. This box looks great, but knowledge is power and knowing what I know now, I would have saved a ton of money with other options.

Amazing reservoir. Looks great, built is neat, no leaks, ball-valve is perfectly water sealed... I'm really happy with it! I bought this with Eshopps Float Valve and they work great together. Make sure you push the water tube all the way into the ball-valve to avoid any leaks.Fill up the tank once a week and let it manage the water-level in the sump.

Designed to hold top off water for smaller aquariums and does the job well. A little pricy for what you get, but I priced sheet stock and cutting tool blades for acrylic and it wasn't worth the trouble.

Worked perfectly for me. Just ran I hose down to the eshopps float valve in the sump... Works great
