TechWare wins over Bauerfeind
I had essentially worn out three Bauerfeind knees sleeves when I came across the TechWare product. The executive summary is that the TechWare is the winner. If money were no object I would probably stick with the Bauerfeind. Here is my take on the two products:Bauerfeind - great product. While I am never sure if the support is more psychological than physical I do know that I have less knee pain after my 3 to 6 mile runs. The Bauerfeind is slightly longer than the TechWare (see pictures) which gives me the sense of better support and compression over a larger area. It reaches further up my leg. The patella “donut” is very similar in size and feel to the TechWare so that is not an issue. There is a “V” band of gel material on the upper part of the Bauerfeind to reduce slippage down the let. Having been through 3 of these I find that this is the first part of the sleeve that gives way. It starts to peel off over time. There are similar plastic struts or supports that run vertically most of the length of both sides of the sleeve in both products. The Bauerfeind seems to be more shaped while the TechWare is heavier piece of long rectangular plastic. That said, there is no noticeable difference between the two while wearing and running.TechWare - good product. Overall the sleeve seems beefier than the Bauerfeind and gives the impression that it might last longer. My biggest complaint is that it is not quite as long. The stretchy material seems to have a stouter weave but stretches nicely. I wear a medium in both products and there is no noticeable difference. As you might expect, the Bauerfeind stretches over time (the primary reason for replacement) and I think the TechWare will eventually have the same problem. The heavier construction makes me think it might last a bit longer. As mentioned above, the patella “donut” and vertical plastic supports may have subtle differences but they cannot be felt during wear and use. Conclusion - Given the huge price differential and that you can buy several TechWare sleeves for the cost of one Bauerfeind sleeve coupled with negligible performance differences I recommend the TechWare.

So great for every day wear that I bought two
I have osteoarthritis in my knees. I have EDS - my knees are mildly unstable, do hyperextend but do not dislocate (without a brace). My pain and stiffness outgrew my old ACE wrap-around braces so I tried this for daily non-active use. I love it! I used the sizing guide on the product page and it fits perfectly. The compression is great, my skin doesn't overheat or get irritated under the brace and it stops my knees from hyper extending if I'm laying down. I can wear it all day under jeans or while sleeping comfortably. The knee pad is an added benefit for me because I have pets and am the handy one around the house so I'm liable to kneel to clean or do things pretty readily and with these, it doesn't hurt. I think I will use a different brace with more hyperextension support for active use but these are so great for around the house, at work every day wear that I bought a second one.

This is FANTASTIC. Great support and VERY comfortable!
I have received it and I LOVE it!I'm going to order another for my other leg - the knee I'm using it for now is bone on bone - needs total replacement which I can't take the time for because of work right now. This keeps my bones in place!!! I really just wear it during the night and the next day my knees are 'ok'. I don't run... or walk much, but I could barely put any weight on it at all!The other knee is ALMOST bone on bone, so I'm hoping I can put off surgery for a hear using your knee brace. I have chubby knees, and have had a hard time finding one that's big enough. But this XL fits great. As I'm sitting here with it on, it feels like it has a bit of menthol in the gel pad. You've made a GREAT product at a great price. I trouble with all my joints, so I have to check out what else you have available for them.

Soft, Comfortable, and Stabilizing
I have a left knee ligament injury. I purchased an XL sleeve to help stabilize my knee. It's great. I love it!! Since I am in between sizes my plan is to order a size L sleeve for the tighter support and then switch off between the two. Very thankful I have that option. This XL sleeve is a very soft and comfortable fit. I am very thankful for the added bonus of the patella gel pad. What an upgrade compared with the basic sleeve I was previously wearing.BTW, great customer service. The company contacted me to check on the arrival time of the sleeve and to see how I was liking the product. I really appreciated them checking in with me. I also received some great tips along with the great product!!! Very satisfied customer.

Definitely Helpful
I wanted to use this product over some time before leaving an informative review. With that said, I think it's a very good quality product, very helpful for taking pressure off your knee caps for any kind of kneeling or climbing activities. I've worn this on both knees all day while working and it's very comfortable for up to about 8 hours, maybe it's just me, but I'm ready to peel them off by then, there is no doubt a balance point between comfort vs. needed support and these do really well. My true rating is a 4.5 but not able to leave a half star, the only reason it's not 5stars is when wearing for over 8 hours continuously and while very physically active, I find it to be a little bit constrictive to leg circulation. It has been washed many times and is holding up well, no signs of wear or fraying threads. I'm sure it will hold up to machine washing, but I prefer to sink wash by hand and hang dry. When ever I forget to wear them, I really miss having the support. Highly recommend this product!
