Delta Faucet Lahara 17 Series Dual-Function Shower Handle Valve Trim Kit, Chrome T17038 (Valve Not Included)

Exact replacement for a unit that was installed in our bathroom. Took a bit to do the installation - the new one wasn't a problem - installation of it was super easy - but removing the old one took some work. I couldn't get the old parts out, but studied the new one to see how it was assembled, and knowing it was a genuine Delta product, was able to apply pressure to the old unit without breaking anything, to get it removed. As far as operation, it works just like the old unit; be sure you set the little limit piece to prevent anyone getting scalded if the hot water is not blended down to a reasonable maximum temperature. It's very important as guests not familiar with your plumbing may crank it up to full hot and get injured. Nice unit, looks nice, and works.

Good kit and was surprised to find out it came with the cartridge! That saved me an additional $25.00. Directions were clear and understandable. Working as advertised.

The little temp piece is plastic but you really don’t notice once installed. It works great and we love the extra feature. Great value for the price.

Most Shower handles I could find around me were the single function handles a where you couldn't control both the water pressure and the temperature separately. The ones I could find were much more expensive than this one. As the cheapest option I could find with both temperature and pressure valves, this was the option to go with. Installing it was fairly straight forward, and I haven't had any leaking problems. This is a solid Shower Handle.

I want separate controls for water pressure and water temperature. That way I can leave the temperature setting alone and just turn the water pressure on and off. I don't have to keep searching for the water temperature I want, and I can increase or reduce the water pressure as needed. We tried one of these in our summer house and liked it so much, we replaced the shower control in our bathroom in our permanent home with this same product. It's very attractive too.

I have an older 1700 series and this worked just fine. I did have to grind one of the extra tabs off the "valve guts" since the newer style has two and reuse the double o-ring like seal inside but otherwise a perfect fit and works very good. Only oddity is the hot/cold control doesn't quite line up with the red/blue area but that's not any issue. On a side note: don't bother ordering straight from delta. After 2 weeks they still haven't shipped it. Amazon had it to me in 2 days.

This delta shower lever saved my shower! My old lever and cartridge were over 20 years old and not working right anymore. I ordered a different one on Amazon that was single lever but it did not fit and the cartridge was also not right. I went to Rona to get the right cartridge and it cost over $100 just for the cartridge! I sent the other lever back to Amazon and ordered this one. Came with a cartridge too and it fit! The whole thing was less expensive than just the cartridge I paid for at Rona! So I returned it. Now my shower works great and I love that I can just turn it on and the temperature is set at exactly how I like it from the start because of the smaller lever too! Love it!

Took 2x to align due to my inexperience (bit tricky) , came apart easily, repositioned, went together securely. Good design & quality. Yes I would by again!

Product price ordered via Amazon and supplied direct from manufacturer (Delta/Masco) was significantly less than if ordered via big box stores or plumbing suppliers. Delivery was prompt, less than a week, and exactly what I wanted. I've installed a number of these Delta shower / tub temp controllers and very happy with them. Clean simple look. Note that this is just the control cartridge and the handles and covers - you also need to order a Delta "rough-in", which is the metal (brass) assembly which connects to the plumbing piping ie water supply and shower head etc and is mounted in the wall. This "monitor" installs into that rough-in after you have completed the tiling or other wall finishing around the rough-in. Note that you have to be extremely careful to mount the rough-in to the correct depth in the wall, so that AFTER the tiling etc is completed, the rough-in will project just the right amount into the room to allow correct mounting of the monitor cartridge and cover plate. The instructions are all provided - read closely, since impossible to correct once tiled over.
