Works well in Guyana
It's a good size, very compact and easy to store. Delivers great power for only 2000w. Was able to power an average size Freezer and even used a microwave at the same time even though it's not suggested for microwaves. It handled a power tool, freezer and microwave with no stress. It also handled 2 9,000 btu window AC with no stress.

Finally can use my American plug devices in Malaysia.
I bought it as a way to convert 240AC to 110VAC. I was supprised at how well it's built. Outstanding product. Very durable. I could even bring it camping.

WE make X-ray microscopes and we usu 110 Vac in Germany they use 220 Vac. This was a simple fix 220Vac. one side 110Vac the other,

Failed Experiment
Sadly, the transformer quit doing what I purchased it to do. I bought another unit here to achieve the step down to run my food appliances (Cuisinart food processor and Vitamix) . I am disappointed for two reasons: 1) the product is heavy (15-17 lbs) so expect to travel with less of your things. 2) the plug came with a three prong end that you cannot plug directly into an outlet here. Why? Later I saw an adapter for outlets in Argentina was an option to purchase only because it was recommended to me on Amazon after I purchased this unit. Why not make that an option before purchasing? Once you relocate, sending it back is not an option. I hope this post helps someone in the future.

Very useful items
I ordered this item due to me having European items that needs to be converted to US power. So far I’m loving it. No issues.

I work in both SE Asia and Canada, and often take electrical devices either way. Some 120V devices work fine on 240V, but none of my 240V devices work well on 120V. A step-up transformer is the answer, at least for most of my devices I bring from Asia to Canada, taking 120V and outputting 240V. this LiteFuze converter/transformer does the trick for me at both ends of the journey. Plugged in to Canadian sockets, it can generate 2000W of available 240V supply, and the same reversed. It is simple to use: plug in, turn on, and use the front outlet to access the transformer supply. The device weights 5kg, so not light, but also not impossible to carry around. I now leave one in Asia and have one here in Canada. While not intended to power some devices like heat guns or microwave ovens, I have used it perfectly well with some audio equipment (streaming servers, DACs, and integrated amps for example), as well as with finicky computer electronic devices that don't like voltage differences. Circuit breakers on the unit protect both the transformer as well as the plugged-in devices, and the unit runs remarkably cool (my last step-up transformer generated both heat and noise; this one does not). While I can't speak to the success you would have with all equipment through the transformer, for my electronic (and computer) and audio devices, it has worked flawlessly. It's now part of my plug-in process as I move back and forth across the ocean, and it is reasonably priced, too.

Hasta ahorita, que bonito aparato. No hace ruido. Tenias varios aparatos domesticos de cocina de españa, francia que no podia usar por que el voltaje aqui en Mexico es distinto. Àsi esto fue la solucion. Gracias.

It is not at all performing. Not single volt increasing. Input voltage 145V not even 2 volt increased. I feeling regret to purchase this

Buena opción para poder conectar un servidor 220V en alimentación de 110V

Being from Europe, I brought a Blu Ray Player that I could never use just to read Region 2/B code discs which I have in abundance. With the transformer I can easily use my Blu Ray Player in Canada and watch my movies. I also tried it on a hair dryer with European plug and it worked. It's pricy and certainly overblown for my use, but it's a great accessory to have around. Only complaint is the weight and the size. For a transformer it's small but it's still fairly big just to keep around the living room or kitchen. 5kg is also some weight. A must for people with appliances or electronic devices from outside of North America.
