This hat is brilliant quality with good strong fabric, as perfectly as described.It's colour is beautiful and I love it but the brim feels weird, and the fastening / tie for tighter and looser is not 100% What I'd like.It doesn't fit my partner at all, but should fit most adult heads both male and female as I have a really tiny head.

Perfect hat for summer sun and where I work in Azerbaijan an absolute necessity during the peak months when temperatures can hit the high 40's even on occasion 50C.Firstly, its a good looking hat and when the sides are buttoned up fairly stylish in my opinion. When the sides are down this hat gives excellent shade from the worst of the sun which is essential if you want your skin to remain in good condition.As an aside, as I work in hot climates a lot I did have a skin check and the doctor told me that the majority of skin cancers he had come across started around the ears and nose. Basically the areas that get damaged easily due to sun exposure all the time. Hence me generally wearing a hat whenever at risk.The material is according to the label 100% cotton and to be fair feels like it, having a comfortable semi-rigid construction.There is also a mesh section which does help keep your head cooler, especially if there is a bit of a breeze to get some circulation.Overall. especially given the price, I'm very happy with this hat. Even my wife, arbiter of all things fashionable - or in my case not - has said it looks good.

I was wary about the sizing of this hat because of the feedback on size but it is adjustable!So for my husband it is a perfect size but can be made smaller or even a little larger if the band tape is fully extended.It is very lightweight but the vulnerable top of the head is covered leaving the vents at the front and sides to stop sweating, ideal.While the crown of the hat is lightweight material, the brim is made of stiffer fabric meaning it sits well.There are buttons on both sides with the adjustable chin strap for windy conditions.All in all a good hot weather head covering.

Quick initial review as only had it 3 days, and worn all 3. I'm a 59 size and this fits great with possibly another size and half to go. Very light and can crumple, roll up, fold etc with ease. Will easily fit inside a shoe etc in a suitecase. Stiched in sweat band, large mesh area sweeps around from the back, sides and front to allow ventiation, solid cotton on the top. Probably shower proof only but not tested. The adjustable chin strap is very long and is sewn into the cap. Checked all the stitching and it looks good and strong. Poppers either side allow loads of different configuration of the brim. Pull it straight down on the head pork pie fashion. Pull brim down at the back, at the front, either side or any combination. Very pleased at the moment and considering buying another one just to leave in the car so never without one to be honest.

I normally wear baseball caps, but bought this hat to keep the sun off the back of my neck. I like the design (as does the Mrs) and the ability to clip the brim to the upper part of the hat if you're not keen on the Terry Pratchett look. It's easy to adjust to fit your head size and is comfortable to wear. The only issue I had, having the same hair style as Jeff Bezos, is the sun blasts through the ventilation holes in the top of the hat and burns my head :) Not an issue if you have lots of hair. Despite this slight flaw, I like the product.

Great hat for the money. Very cool to wear due to the mesh upper section. Just returned from a holiday in Tenerife and this proved valuable protection from the fierce sun and at no time did I have to remove it to cool my head. No problem with sun burning my head through the mesh and my head is shaved clean every two days. I removed the small belt which is used for sizing as Im at the largest it would go (58/59 in Motorcycle helmet size if that helps anyone). Nice snug fit no problems with it falling off with wind or movement. Rolls up to fit into bags very easily and I assume it would also wash well if needed.

I really like this hat. It is light, it fits and it looks good. I bought mine in sage green, which I really like. It has a chin strap, which is fairly basic, but nevertheless it is functional and would keep the hat on in windy conditions. There have been times when walking when a baseball cap gets whipped off, which isn't so great if you are high on a hill, mountain or cliff edge. Also a baseball cap doesn't protect the tops of the ears or the back of the neck from sun exposure, whereas this hat does.I like the lightness of the material and for me the mesh part is ok - I appreciate that bald people don't like this feature, but if you have a good head of hair, it's not a problem and it keeps the head a little cooler. The adjustment band is basic, but functional. My head size is 23" (59cm) but I find the hat fits without being too tight - it is a snug fit and there is still some adjustment left on the head band. I don't know whether the hat would be suitable for a small head size - the band could be tightened, but this might result in folds in the material, which might not look so good.I really like the ability to clip one side, the other side, or both sides up (as shown in the product page picture). If it's a full sun day and I'm hiking and couldn't care less about appearances, then I would leave the hat "floppy" to keep the sun off my ears, neck and side of face. Otherwise I would wear it with one or both sides clipped up.This is great for summer wear, but it is not waterproof or insulating. If you need something warmer and waterproof then you need a goretex or leather type, which would be much more expensive.This definitely will be used on many occasions probably mostly when hiking over 3 seasons.

As a baldy I have to be careful in the sun and find find while baseball caps are ok they still leave my ears exposed. That is why I have bought this. It can be folded down when not in use, the belt allows tightening to fit and the mesh allows free circulation of air to keep cool. The strap underneath is also adjustable and allows removal of the hat to hang round your neck. Well happy with my purchase.
