A good replacement
The OEM filter costs $69, I'm sure it's high quality, but very pricey. This GLACIER FRESH Water Filter is an exact replacement for $21. The installation took about 1 minute and has been problem-free.

Read your manual
My unit quit making ice on Sub Zero freezer and while it’s just under the 12 year warranty limit, the factory service will find a way to charge $300 plus and my home warranty is just $85 per service call, but reading the manual suggests checking the filters first. These filters came via Prime, pulled old filter that weighed a lot more than the new, indicating time to replace. Replacement filter corrected issue and the 2 pack is a great option compared to the SubZero single.

Good product. Just make sure you run at least 3 gallons of water through the system and at least two full loads of ice. It tastes fresh and clear
