IRWIN 21304ZR Tin Snip, Multi Purpose, 11-3/4-Inch (21304)

if you have to have Snips, than get these. you may save a few dollars buying other unknown brands but you will be disappointment and regret it. these are solid high quality and cut through like a proverbial butter.

I had to work around the emergency hatch hole on my minibus/skoolie conversion for the replacement of an RV ceiling fan - the ceiling fan is about 4" smaller, all around than the emergency hatch opening. Now, my bus is a 2001 and is a double-skin (metal on the inside and outside with a 1" space inbetween filled with pink insulation) metal bus. SO, I thought about creating some sort of wooden frame but realized that would not work with rain sitting on the bus roof which meant covering that oversized opening with a piece of metal that had the proper size opening for the ceiling fan to be installed. That meant two pieces of metal cut to cover the outer shape of the emergency hatch "overhang" and an inner opening cut to slide the ceiling fan into it on the outer roof as well as one for the inside ceiling that fits the simple inside "jacket" that screws into the outside portion of the fan and seats it on both outside and inside the bus. I needed these tin snips to cut the two pieces of metal I purchased for this project - the metal had be prepared with cut lines for both pieces so it was as simple as getting these snips and cutting along the lines to make the metal the proper size to cover the hole(s) and then drilling a few holes inside the inner holes to give me a place to begin cutting the metal with these snips. I looked at several pairs and settled on this pair as I liked the larger/longer reach of the actual snips plus the price was very good for this pair. I hoped they were easy on my hands and as soon as I received them, I went right to work, cutting the outer lines to make the metal sheet the proper size, then drilled some holes for a starting place on the inside hole for each piece. These snips worked excellently! Easy to close and with the spring loaded handle, the snips open for the next cut with no problem whatsoever. Sharp, easy to cut and use - these were, as I said JUST what I needed for my project!

Tin snips cut through metal easily and leave a clean cut with minimal bending. Ergonomic handles are easy on the hands.

These were really good. They hold up well. Good value for the money, they feel nice and are sharp. They cut through cardboard and tin cans easily.

Nice and sharp, works well cutting metal. My only complaint is that the spring isn't quite strong enough. I have to manually pull it back open. It gets caught in the closed position and requires a little nudge to get it to spring open again. This gets very tiring and frustrating when you're doing multiple cuts.

I've been using this for a while now. It's well made, not too heavy, and easy to use.

These are great general purpose snips. Heavy duty and will cut just about any sheet metal I can fit in them

Irwin is the best pair of snips you could get for this price range, been doing exterior work (Siding/soffit/fascia/trough for a 8 years now and after using many pairs of snips I find these work the best. On average it can last me 9 months of heavy usage in the winter or on rainy days, I also put a few drops of all in one oil on them every so often to make them last longer. Definitely recommend them

Après plusieur semaine à l'utiliser cela semble être une copie mal constitué d'autre produit. Fait ce qu'on lui demande une fois sur 2. La pince n'est pas très mobil pour ma part . Elle ce bloque à l'ouverture donc il faut prendre le manche avec 2 mains pour l'écarté. J'aurai essayé tant pis.
