You Won't be Disappointed!
Larry Ferlazzo and Katie Hull Sypnieski have made a huge contribution with the Teacher Toolbox series and this Math book is another gem. Authors Wong and Bukalov offer tons of strategies. This book is not the type of book that you will just read once--you can reference it over and over.As the author of another math book for ELs, I highly recommend this book.Dr. Jim Ewing

Highly recommended!!!
Love the book! The authors' realistic approach to the topics are extremely useful. They talk not only about what worked, but also what didn’t and why.Often teachers get bombarded with buzzwords “culturally responsive,” “differentiation,” “project-based learning,” and “formative assessment.” These authors provide specific strategies for the middle and high school math classes based on their classroom experience for how to do all these things. At the same time, they show how these ideas can be weaved into everyday teaching.Highly Recommend!

Fairly good book
Too many citations within each sentence. The book would be a lot shorter and easier to read if the citation were footnoted or put at the end of the book in a special section. Some citation are actually longer than the sentence that is being cited. Very annoying and hard to read.On the positive side, the book contains a lot of good information.

Wow! If you are a math teacher at any level in your career "The Math Teacher’s Toolbox" is what you’ve been looking for. From detailed, classroom-tested strategies and examples to relationship building, differentiation and technology, Bobson Wong and Larisa Bukalov have nailed it! Full of insightful, research-based ideas, techniques and practices, I will use this book for years to come. This is a wonderful book written by actual math teachers to help real teachers with what is actually going on in their classroom. It also goes beyond the classroom to talk about planning, grading, relationships with parents and other teachers, and much more. Highly recommended.
