All CPAP/BiPAP devices tend to develop a lot of moisture due the nature of operations due to which there is high residual moisture leading to development of bacteria and fungi in the hose pipe, mask and device. This expose the CPAP/BiPAP user to a range of infections. Steriloz is a novel offering by whealthTM. Steriloz is a portable (only 200gm) battery operated device that produces activated oxygen or ozone to disinfect and cleanse medical devices; specifically the CPAP &BiPAP devices along with the mask and the tubing. A full charged device is capable to give to 2 rounds of disinfection cycles(35mins Each). Disinfection needs to be done in a ventilated room; if possible near a window.Part 1: The first disinfection is done by attaching one end of the hose pipe to the steriloz machine and the other end connected to the mask. Place the mask in the bag (given as complimentary offering) so as to allow complete disinfection of the CPAP/BiPAP until the 35 min cycle is complete. Ensure that the mask is inside the bag so as ensure complete disinfection of the mask.Part 2: Disconnect the hose from the mask and attach that end to the CPAP/BiPAP. Long press the power button to initiate the 2nd cycle. This cycle shall also run for 35mins and auto-off once the period is over. Completing Part1 and Part2; the total setup is disinfected. The CPAP/BiPAP turns sterile and gives disnfection efficacy of 99.99% from commonly present infections like E.Coli, Staphylococcus Aureus& Candida Albicans. Suggested frequency of disinfection of CPAP/BiPAP is once per week. The performance of the rechargeable battery shall decline with the increase of usage of the device as it is a normal phenomenon. *Patient can perform any part cycle individually as per their preference and requirement. *Steriloz is functional with all leading brands of devices.
