Worth buying.
This little chopping bowl and ulu knife are good to use for small items not bigger items to chop. I thought it was bigger that's why I gave it 4 stars. But it's good for now later I will invest in a bigger one.

my first ulu
i gave it 4 stars because the handle is worst part of the ulu. its unaligned with 2 half pins in the back which will cause problems in the future . the cutting bowl as u can see from the dark picture is not deep enough which i asume will cut its way down over time but i may use 1000 grit to fine tune. it the edge was bad but ive been tring to hone all the deep factory belt sanding on the edge ( it looks like they used 60 grit and switched to 80) but the edge was rolled back so im having to redo the blade all together now im using 4000 to 8000 grit soft arkansas stone

No quite what I expected
We saw these knives when we visited Alaska and I wanted to take one home, but for obvious reasons they are not allowed in carry on baggage. I ordered this when we returned and I was expecting the same quality as the ones we saw during our trip (since this was a little more expensive than those), but it is not that quality. The blade and handle do not align, and it is a low quality wood and blade. It's not very easy to use--and the blade is pretty dull.

Good starter knife
Perfect starter kit for someone looking to start using an ulu knife. Only downside is the handle is a bit pointy and rough on the hand when using it. Otherwise a great product.

My go-to knife for herbs & veggies
This is my go-to knife for chopping herbs. I also use it to cut up celery, carrots, and other veggies. I recommend it as a nice gift for someone who likes to cook.

A deceptively presented, inferior product. Caveat emptor.
An "Alaskan" ulu, made in China.Just putting "Alaska" on a product does not make it Alaskan. The bowl and knife curve are mismatched so that the knife does not chop correctly. The bowl is an abomination and a safety hazard. The bowl cut goes into a knot in the wood eliminating the ability to remove food and other debris buried in the flaw. I will be returning this item.

Welcome assistance!
I am a stroke survivor and as a result, I mostly have to rely on my left hand alone for tasks. Thus food prep is very difficult as I am pretty inept with a regular knife. The Ulu Knife can be used to cut many food items and I am so grateful for it!
