I don't often write a review as most products just meet my expectations, however, I had to share my thoughts on this soup maker. I've never used a soup maker before and thought it would be another kitchen gadget that would join the many others in the loft. Not the case. This product is fantastic. My first try was a simple leek and potato soup. I didn't know what to expect but I followed an online recipe, finely chopped leeks, onion, garlic and potato (with skin on, don't even need to peel them). Shoved it all in the soup maker, added 800ml veg stock, salt and pepper and switched it on to the smooth setting. Walked away and went back when it was bleeping 21 minutes later and found 1.6 litres of piping hot, perfectly blended, tasty and hearty leek and potato soup. So impressed. At this price point, I wasn't expecting much, but this product is really good. Does what it says on the tin and makes great soup. Easy to clean, no mess, no fuss and makes a good quantity if you want to batch cook and freeze. As it's so quick and easy, I actually make my soup while I'm getting ready for work, then pop it in a flask and take it red hot and fresh. If you like homemade soup, I highly recommend this one. More expensive brands will probably have lots of fancy settings on, but this is fuss free, quick, easy, and makes great soup.

We made the Spanish potato soup following the method exactly and a bit confused as to why the toms go in last. Well it took nearly 1 hour to run through the 28 min cycle with the unit cutting out and the display switching off. There is no fault guide in the manual. We tried two Post Office counters and neither could read the bar code on their AMAZON bags. So we left it for another day. Telling our friends who have a different soup maker, they confirmed that their soup maker does the same thing with canned tomatos. Alo verified by many users on a soup formum we contacted. Clearly Daewoo know this problem and it explains why the recipie says add the tomatos last! Since then we have had no issues with the machine and it makes great soup as long as you dont use the recipies in the provided manual. Tried 3 hated them all.

Easy to use, makes excellent smooth soup in 21 mins and a nice chunky one in 28. Probably enough for 3 huge or 4 smaller servings when full. I agree that certain things catch on the base at times (red lentils and dried pasta particularly) but if you don't put too much solids in, and there's enough liquid, that seems to help. Noisy when blending but that doesn't bother me. Love it, bought to replace an identical one by another brand that stopped blending and boy did I miss it!! Favourite recipes are mushroom and minestrone. I never buy soup now as I use this constantly. A good soak in hot soapy water and it cleans up a treat. Get one, you won't regret it!

I ordered this Daewoo soup maker as a gift for my wife for Christmas. She's wanted one for ages. I can do a full review once it's been used, but for now review it on the basis of the same model that a friend has, which I was able to see in action before buying one. This is really easy to use. It takes all the effort out of making soup. There's no need to spend ages cutting up and cooking veg as the soup maker does it all for you. It's a decent capacity; certainly big enough for a family of 4. This really makes light work of soup making. My friend brought theirs into work to make soup. It tasted delicious. That's all down to what ingredients you use though. .overall, as an initial review, I'm pleased that I bought this and look forward to making our own soup from now on. The overall size of the soup maker is also good as it's not too big, so won't take up too much room in the kitchen. Update: were over the moon with this. It's so quick and quiet in operation. Hot soup in under half an hour with no mess.

UPDATE - AFTER USING SMOOTH SOUP MAKER LESS THAN A DOZEN TIMES, THE BLENDER HAS STOPPED WORKING THEREFORE REDUCING TO 1 STAR, WINDOW OF RETURN PASSED 😔 used quite a few times now. Followed review tips and drizzle oil at bottom before putting veg in. Love the fact that I can just leave it for either 21 mins for smooth, or 24 mins for chunky. It beeps just before blending and again, for a minute, when finished. So far I've not needed to blend any further when finished eg parnip soup was silky smooth. I didn't appreciate that you need to chop veg slightly smaller than when making in pan (but that may be me being overly cautious). However, once all chopping is done, just ensure you don't go over, or under, the lines with your hot stock. Easy to clean - I tend to serve and leave remaining to cool, decanter then pop some hot water in, press blend, then simply wipe clean. The blending unit is also easy to wipe clean. This machine has made making soups so much easier, less of a bother and makes 4 large bowls or 6 smaller sized ones. Great for using any leftover veg in fridge then freezing for later. Will make smoothies with leftover yoghurt and fruit when needed.

Used this product for the first time today , made cauliflower and broccoli soup . Used the smooth function, it was perfect . Silky smooth, no cream needed . 10 out of 10

A total game changer ! Literally choose your veg roughly chop add stock etc press smooth or Chucky and go on with your work/ chores .. you will hear long beeping when done. Your soup is made . It stay hot and no washing up . Love 💕 this soup maker.
