I am new to soldering and this was great to introduce flux and de-soldering ribbon as well as providing a more portable tip cleaner. I probably use the tip cleaner 9/10 times compared to the one stuck to my iron base.

Solid introductory set of materials for practicing soldering techniques on inexpensive or non critical materials. Tip cleaner seems solid, overall works well. Small amounts of the essentials, good for a light few jobs.

The solder was a bit iffy, but the wick, the flux, and especially the tip cleaner were all great quality.

It’s a nice kit .but it’s almost like a sample kit . Not much product

Standard wick is ok, solder is ok, tinning is ok, and "brass" wool is not brass! Brass is non magnetic and this is magnetic so it is steel wool and will quickly wear down your iron tips.

Awesome products, good price. The solder is of course gone it went fast and is of excellent quality. The solder wick us awesome but doesn't work with lead free just an FYI. You can add a drop of lead solder to get it to work though. In combination with a solder sucker it's easy to tackle even the most stubborn solder joints. The iron cleaner is awesome. I put some sticky tack on the bottom and stuck it to my desk. The bottom pulls off to replace the copper mesh which is good mesh I have yet to replace it. The tinning flux is good too. I use it to retin older tips and to dip wire ends into it to get good flow. Overall everything is very satisfactory!

I bought this on my husband's order Hahahaha! for a repair he needed to do on my embroidery machine. He said he wished there would have been an extra Soldering tip cleaner as he used up the only one quickly.

I am so bad with stuff like this, but I just needed the flux, 0.6 solder wire and the cleaner (maybe). Was using it to rewire the speakers on a ds lite which worked perfect for the job. Was able to do 8 wires with no huge mess and didn’t burn my hands. It did the job for a beginner.
