Purchased this to use for removing set screws on bathroom wall attached pieces worked so much easier than using included tools especially for those with small flat head screw driver heads. Also nice for tightening glasses up.

I bought these as I needed to open up a MacBook Pro, and they have the correct star shaped driver I needed. You should know this is the 3rd driver I have bought for Apple products, but if they have poor quality the driver gets easily stripped and stops working. Apple uses mild loc-tite on their screws and that seems to be enough to strip most cheap drivers from China. However, these appear to be much better. I have done my work on the MacBook and there is no sign of stripping. It also has many other bits for things I have laying around, and I will get a lot of use out of them. The case is nice, plastic but solid feeling. It is nice and compact, not taking up much room, and easy to get bits in and out. My previous set held the bits so hard I couldn't get one out at a time, which is not a problem here. When you put the bit in the handle the quality is really good, feels solid, not flimsy and cheap like the other sets I have had. The bits are strong and well made, and readily took apart my Apple items, no stripping on the bit or the screw, it fit in perfect and snug. There's not much else I can say about a screw driver set. The optional pieces are really nice, but I haven't needed them yet. I really like the look and feel, and the case. It's all around a great deal, I think it has the bits for all the Apple products I own in a single, small and tidy case.

This is a nice little kit. The only two issues are A. it's not magnetized, so if you're messing around with 5/T6 laptop screws you have to be extra careful not to lose them and B. it will oxidize fairly quickly if stored in a high humidity are. Like what usually happens, the plastic housing in the case got a crack and the set oxidized a bit while it was stored in my toolbox in my car. Otherwise, it offers a good variety of bits for disassembling small tech and appliances. the plastic pry-tool is a nice inclusion too.

purchased 01/2015 on amazon and purchased based on the reviews. April 2020 update: kit is still going strong. I have since passed this down to my 8 year old daughter as part of her xmas toolbox and toolkit she got - since she has grown up practically using this little kit with me. I have since upgraded to bigger and better but for less than $10 this toolset has been put through the ringer! some of the bits are not in the best of shape anymore but still perfectly suitable especially for a kid to bash around with now and continue learning with! ----------- January 2019 update: this tiny kit still remains sitting on my office desk, getting used almost daily for some manner of odds and ends task. it has held up well, all bits still properly intact and functioning as they should. pry tool has held up better than I thought it would although I have a wide variety of other pry tools and only use the kit included for small things. I've "been considering" for a few years now on getting a larger or nicer kit to consolidate down other precision items we've picked up over the years, but this one has held me over. ------------ having a very hodge podge and poorly put together toolset and then marrying into another very sparse and scattered toolset - finding the right tool needed for jobs was a pain in the household. teaching myself electronic repair and also just a general tinkerer who is comfortable taking things apart and troubleshooting them in the first place - decided I needed a nice portable handy micro screwdriver set to replace the junk ones I had. these sit on my desk in the office permanently and never get put away and I'd say there is not longer than a 48 hour period where they don't get some sort of use. these have paid for themselves 30 times over in the past six months - we are also frequent thrifters (hobby, reselling, always hunting something down!) very useful screwdriver set to bring with you for testing things out also. if you ever have a need for smaller tools and screwdrivers and want something nice, treat yourself!

He mirado mucho por internet y este juego de TEKTON ha sido el único que me ha servido a la perfección. También vale para iphone SE, 6, 6S... y me atrevería a decir que para la mayoría de los productos de apple que se empeñan en ponernos las cosas difíciles para quién quiera hacer pequeños cambios. Sinceramente recomendaría este juego de puntas ya por calidad como por precio, además porque también viene con una palanca de plástico para no estropear las partes sensibles.

I had some repairs to do on my Galaxy S3 so I scoured online stores for a kit that would give me what I needed at a reasonable price. After coming across the TEKTON 2830 kit and reading the highly favourable reviews I made the purchase. When I sat down to do the repairs I was very impressed with kit as a whole. For me, the pros and cons are: Pros: - the variety of included bits was excellent; - the spudger was a very welcome inclusion; - the rotating head on the screwdriver made it incredibly easy to maintain constant and uniform pressure on the small screws of the phone making it easy to avoid stripping or damage; - the seemingly good quality of the bits; and, - the price Cons: - the plastic used in some places (ie: the case lid, inner tray, and spudger) seems fairly low grade and may not withstand much use or applied force I tried to come up with more cons but I really couldn't think of any, especially at this price point. All-in-all I'm quite happy I decided on this precision bit and driver kit and would happily recommend it to the casual tinkerer or DIY repair person.

Les contare una historia de como este kit de puntas me salvo de gastar miles de pesos en la reparación de la pc donde ahora estoy escribiendo feliz: Yo soy un holgazán al que le gusta tener su pc en el pecho mientras estoy utilizándola, con lo cual no hay mayor problema ya que tiene un excelente control térmico, el punto aquí es que este fin de semana estaba utilizándola de manera habitual cuando de repente gire un poco mi cuerpo a la derecha y esta de cayo mientras veía un video, yo pensé que no habría ningún problema pues cayo en un lugar bastante suave y cual fue mi sorpresa al tratar de recogerla y notar que estaba como si nada pues la cerré para poder posicionarme en una forma optima sin embargo aquí fue donde comenzó todo pues me di cuenta que la manzanita no se apagaba a lo cual inmediatamente la abrí para darme cuenta que la pantalla estaba negra y comencé a sudar frío pues yo sabia que si la mandaba a reparar (aun que no tengo información importante en esta) me estarían dando vueltas con los componentes por ejemplo primero queriendo cambiar la pantalla haciéndome pagar por ella y después la placa base hasta llegar con la excusa que al final era problema de software y fue en ese momento en el que decidí arreglar mi propio problema con mi experiencia y termine dando un diagnostico visual pero aun necesitaba las puntas especiales que necesita mi pc, lo cual me llevo a el día siguiente (porque cuando me paso era de noche y todo estaba cerrado) después de terminar lo que tenia que hacer ir a una tienda de electrónicos y comprar un cable HDMI pues nunca había tenido interés en conectar mi pc a mi tv pero lo hice solo para asegurarme que era problema de la pantalla, aliviado después de ver que encendía normalmente me di cuenta que al tratar de iniciar sesión esta se quedaba trabada a lo cual decidí entrar en modo seguro y darme cuenta que de esta forma si funcionaba, entonces decidí ordenar este kit por aquí, pasaron 2 o 3 días desde que tuve ese fallo y por fin llegaron las herramientas, me encontraba arreglándola felizmente cuando de pronto una chispa de electricidad estática salió de mi dedo, no le di mayor importancia y decidí encenderla con la tapa abierta, A LO CUAL PRENDIO NORMALMENTE, quien fuera a pensar que la electricidad estática que genera una frazada pudiera arreglar mi problema de esta forma(porque yo solo le quite la tapa que protegía a los componentes) entonces después de todo esto aun mas feliz me puse a limpiarla pues ya tenia esta herramienta en mano y sabia como dar este tipo de comportamiento, quien hubiera pensado que esta pequeña chispa de esperanza no seria del todo buena pues con otra pc que estaba usando paso lo mismo mientras estaba prendida y daño esta vez la pantalla de esta. En fin, buen producto y muy recomendado si quieres hacer trabajo de limpieza interna en tu pc. Por cierto, la pantalla de la otra pc se arreglo reiniciándola forzosamente.
