strong magnet
I needed this to be strong enough to hold things in the lid of a tin. It worked great. The thinner magnetic strips didn't work, every time i closed the lid, things would fall off. Adhesive was great, and I was able to trim then to size with an xacto knife.

I had to use glue, but they worked after that
The adhesive didn't work, but once I glued them to the object, they have worked great and I'm glad this was an option for me because it was exactly what I needed.

Buy super glue too
These magnets are strong, that's definitely not an issue. However, the adhesive is not. Within hours the metal file folder that I stuck the magnets on to mount it on the side of my fridge fell off of the magnets. I got a tube of super glue and glued the magnets to the file folder and now no matter how much I shove into the file bin it doesn't budge a mm from where the magnets are holding it to the fridge.I do not work for, own shares of or have any involvement with the super glue industry other than being an avid user. This is not meant to be an ad for super glue.

Held light items only when using two strips: one adhered to the item and one to the wall
These magnets are quite weak. Extremely light items will stick, but often precariously. A smaller-than-usual metal pen stuck if laying across the whole strip (parallel); if perpendicular, it held if in the right place, but it was very easily knocked off. A keychain with 5 keys stuck, but only since one of the keys is steel. A nail clipper held, but a small tap made it fall. A tape measure (0.4 lbs.) stuck, but didn't hold; using 8 strips, it held the tape measure upside down (like if taped underneath a cabinet shelf), but not on the side (like taped to the wall; it slides off). These are all extremely light items.I bought these for a small, LED light bar, like the kind you'd put in a cabinet or closet. It weighs a few ounces, and there are magnets inside to stick to a piece of metal with adhesive that came with the bar. (The metal got lost while moving.) One of these magnetic strips does not hold the bar, even lining up the magnets in the bar properly with magnetic zones in the strip. However, I found that if I stuck a strip to the bar with the adhesive (and lining up the magnets), and then stuck that strip to another strip, it holds the bar quite well.If you don't mind affixing a strip with the adhesive to your item, like this light, then these might work well using two per item.

These are pretty good!
I wanted to attach these strips to the back of a small framed white board, so I could magnetically attached the white board to the side of my refrigerator. The magnets are very magnetic and stick to the refrigerator very well. The adhesive strip that is provided did NOT stick to the back of the white board. So, I glued the magnetic strips onto the back of the small (5" H x 12" L) white board with super glue. Now it all works fine.

Perfect for what I needed
I got these for my magnetic privacy screen. The magnets that came with the screen are quite weak. I cut small strips and placed them on the laptop and external monitor. Both are holding so much better! The adhesive back is strong, of course, this is considering the weight of my privacy screens which is not much, so I don’t expect the screen to pull them off. The purpose I got them for is perfect. They are a bit thick but that’s not a deal breaker.

Had high hopes.
Magnet is super strong unfortunately the adhesive is not. I put 2 on a clean dry light weight wooden coat rack with 3 knob. I let it Be for 24 hours then stuck it on the metal door . But it fell down after 12 hours ,scared the heck out of the cats but the magnet was still on the metal door. I’m going to buy some gorilla glue . That’ll do it , it’ll stick those little magnets right to the wood . But we really shouldn’t have to buy another product, to get the product we just bought to work right!
