Dayton Audio MKBoom Portable Bluetooth Speaker Kit

Amazing! I had a great time building and customizing this speaker kit! I added walnut burl veneer, gold hardware, VU meters, and built a handle using 1/2" pipe. I am thrilled with how it turned out! Do yourself a favor and go ahead and get the KABD-250 amplifier. This gives you access to SigmaStudio DSP. The sound quality is fantastic out the gate, but adding Dynamic Bass Enhancement really warms up the sound at lower volumes. It also gives you the option to add an EQ. I honestly haven't even added an EQ because it sounds great as it is. Although I may see if I can find someone with a mic and run some sweeps in REW to see if I can improve anything with EQ in the future. For now, I'm very satisfied with the sound. My only complaint and is that the front MDF panel is rounded on the ends. This is not a big deal if you don't plan on adding veneer, but it made it quite challenging to veneer. I ended up using wood filler, wood glue and sanding over the course of a few days to finally achieve a square edge. It was tedious, but worth it. Personally, I think the front panel should be square and if someone wants it to be rounded, they could just use a router with a roundover bit. I would highly recommend this kit to people of all skill levels. I'll definitely be purchasing this kit again to build more for friends and family.

this was a fun project-----and she performs like a champ! Although I do have an issue where it wont charge when the power switch is set to off =\ not sure if i fubared something... anyways the battery life seems decent although they have an expansion module im looking into. if i had to guess with my ear... oh girl hits down to 40ish..
