Danco 80360 Waterproof Faucet Grease, 1/2 Oz

I use this product for multiple applications including my faucets, a positemp valve, and on o-rings in my water softener. What I like is that it’s rated as “food grade” and NSF 61 certified. You can use it on plumbing that makes potable water. It doesn’t break down quickly like a lot of other products. Even after a few years on the positemp valve, my shower faucet handle turns smoothly just like when I bought my new house. You can’t beat the price at under $4. It’s a decent size too and more than adequate for multiple jobs.

You can replace the faucet cartridges without the grease, but why? The grease helps installation and will help in removal when, not if, you eventually need to replace the cartridge in the future. Plus, it helps protect the O-rings from getting nicked. Be careful not to nick the O-rings because you'll not only be looking for O-rings, but doing the job again.

If you are ever doing faucet cartridge replacement or O-ring replacement, always have some of this on hand. I know people use petroleum jelly, but it's not the same. This is silicone based whereas the jelly is petroleum based which can actually degrade seals and rings. Small tube of grease, but unless you're repairing faucets on a daily basis, this will last for years. Good stuff!

I'm sure the product is fine eventhough you sure don't get much in a 1/2 tube. Real reason for not leaving 5 stars is because delivery is always so late in the day. I swear I'm last on the drivers route which causes me to do repairs the following day.

Excellent grease for plumbing items. I used it to grease the O rings on my kitchen faucet and they have remained in use for over a year. Use it for any parts that have threads.

Get this to keep your hoses from freezing up on faucet. Also get brass fittings. Use this and avoid plumber in the fall

This stuff is amazing. The spout of my bathtub was having a constant drip every second. Thought I may need a new shower cartridge but figured I'd give this is try first to put on the o-rings of the old cartridge. The o-rings were a bit dry at first and after putting this one, the drip stopped.
