This pad is super quick and easy to setup. It really makes going mountain biking less of a hassle. I've hauled mine and my wife's bikes all over the place and this pad has done great job protecting my truck. We've probably clocked over 1000 miles with it and it's still just like the day I bought it.

First of all, the advice I got from several other reviews was spot on: Order the medium size for a full size pickup, especially if there's a tonneau cover involved. I have a Ford F150 with a RETRAX tonneau cover (more about that in a second). The medium size fits my tailgate perfectly with about 2 inches of space on either side and I can still carry six bikes. I can tell the install of this pad will be very fast so I won't mind removing it when it's not in use. I have a single hitch rack I'll use most of the time because it's really easy and lock ups are easy. The Evoc will be easy to store. The padding they use is suitable for protection but not so thick as to hinder folding--plus, it's very lightweight. My one concern is that I can tell the bikes might shift from the back wheel when driving and tip the bike a little. That's easily solved with a bungee around the wheel or frame connected to a truck bed hook. I'd also like to see one or more pockets built into the pad to carry any bike accessories I bring along. Not really a big deal, just nice to have. Finally, with the RETRAX tonneau that can lock anywhere along its path from front to back, when I remove my bike from the bed, I can lock the tonneau tightly against the tailgate pad and it can't be taken. Cool!

I tried a bunch of these tailgate pads, Yakima, Race Face T2, Thule Gatemate Pro, and EVOC. None of them are perfect but I feel the EVOC was the best of the bunch for my Honda Ridgeline which has a thicker tailgate than most mid sized trucks. First thing I will say, whichever one you select be prepared to strap down the bikes, don't just rely on a singe velcro strap on your down tube to keeps your bikes secure, if you do more than likely they will fall over.The Yakima: nice soft padding, horrible velcro. Straps are built in so if they ever fail you can't replace, plus the velcro grip does not seem that sturdy.Thule: This one I did not like. Does have nice soft padding and removable velcro straps but they are HUGE and will never secure any type of normal bike downtube. Plus the whole pad is huge and the Ridgeline tailgate will not close with it on.Raceface T2: Probably the best quality out of all of them but they really messed up and made it way to small, barely protected the back of the tailgate.That led me to the EVOC. Nothing fancy but just the right size, good velcro straps that are removable and I like the unique metal hook system to attach it to the tailgate. Just be careful not to bang the metal hooks against your truck!

Qualitativ gut. Passt gut an eine Ford Ranger. Die Klettbänder für die Räder könnten ein bisschen länger sein. Aber wenn man zwei zusammen macht bekommt man alles fest.

Se place facilement sur le hayon d’un Toyota Hilux revo. Les petits crochets permettent de l’installer ou de l’enlever assez rapidement. Protège le hayon efficacement. Les pads en caoutchouc maintiennent efficacement les vélos. Seul bemol, les sangles sont trop courtes pour sécuriser des vélos électriques. Il faut prévoir des sangles d’une longueur d’au moins 50cm pour cela.
