Great way to finish a wire connection
I work as a solar installer, and getting good connections that will last for the next 30 years is important - this Hex Crimper is a great tool that provides a finished endpoint to an electrical connection. The tool is sturdy and very simple to use: just strip the wire, pick out the proper size connector and squeeze the handle - you can't go wrong. At first I didn't know how far to strip the wire, and you can see from my last photo that I did it a little short; but then I realized: just use the silver section as your guide, and it will always work. I really like how clean the finished piece is; this would be especially useful if you need to remove and reconnect the fitting. One note: the set of connectors doesn't come with the tool, so you must order that seperate and in addition to the crimper. But it does come with an assortment of sizes, which can handle up to a size 8AWG. (I used the 10AWG in the photo)

Definitely not a toy, these crimp with style as the crimped area is completely, well, crimped. Been working with awg18 ferrules and this tool is magical.

Awesome for what its designed for
This is a fine crimper for the thin gauge ferrules that add rigidity to fine stranded wires. It performs a smooth even crimp around the ferrule. Note: it is NOT a terminal crimper, theres not enough force to crush the heavier gauge copper connection! Great quality and value!

Really good quality and tight crimps
Bought this crimper for work and it does the job really well. I like that the crimps hold very tightly and it’s wide range of size wires that you can use. Definitely recommend to anyone for making solid electrical connections no matter the job.

Wonderful crimper, Hexagonal crimping is ideal for ferrules
We use ferrules all the time at work and this tool has been excellent. Hexagonal crimpers are really the only way to go with ferrules. Square crimping fouls up the ferrule and makes it difficult to fit into some terminals, especially when they are very small. Wonderful product!
