This alarm clock is everything it says it is and is great. The only thing I didn't expect was if you have the battery installed (I believe it came with the clock) it doesn't use power from the outlet you plug it into, and once the battery runs out it doesn't just switch to your outlets power, you have to remove the battery from the compartment before it will work plugged in & you'll have to reset it. The battery lasted just over 4 months & the brightness of the light was much brighter once we took the old battery out and plugged it back in to the wall. As I said, it was a great purchase, I just assumed it would automatically switch to the wall power and save the battery as back up for if there was no power coming from the outlet (when the power goes out or something) & now we know that's not the case🙄 Also it would be nice if you could set the light to turn on with the alarm instead of as a separate alarm. There are 2 alarm settings, so if you only have one alarm you need that would be possible, but this clock I bought for my son who needs a second alarm time after the first and it would be a little cooler for the light to turn on at the same time as the alarm, just to add another sensory trigger basically. Either way he loves it & if i didn't have an alarm on my phone I would buy a second one for myself!

No offense but this alarm clock does not take rocket science to set up or use like some people make it seem...Pretty self explanatory I personally had no problems with it and if you read the directions that are included it does answer any questions you may have. If you are wanting a quick basic alarm clock you can set up in seconds than this would not probably not be for you in which it can take a few minutes to set up and learn about (fyi people with no patience)...This is my first day with it so far no complaints color is really nice and vibrant which you can adjust, the alarm clock can get loud enough for sound sleepers as I can be at times. If you are setting up your alarm with a tone that's customized on the clock it does not sound loud at first but i tested alarm and it does get gradually louder I have mine set up to 35 as 40 I felt would wake my family up their room is right across from mine. So far experience is good with it have not had long enough to see how long it lasts and does not break on me. It's pretty sharp if your looking for an alarm that's not basic... As far as the usb charging port no problems does not get stuck works great.. One thing you may notice is when Bluetooth is hooked up to phone may do some weird flashing here and there but I did not need it on anyways so turned off to aux...

Had this device for about 6 years now. It's perfect as a room clock, a radio, and a color changing light, but not an alarm clock that suites my needs.The device only allows for 2 alarms, either to repeat for weekday, weekends, or ever day. Unfortunately I need wakeup alarms for different times at different days, so I've been sticking to my phone alarms for the past 5 years. It's great that you can add any combo of alarm volume, lights, and sounds to each alarm, but as the yeas passed, I tend to stick with the basic alarm at half volume because it's stupidly loud.The device's internal battery died long ago, and without it plugged in, it won't work. The brightness of the clock has also started to fade in the past few years (when my room is lit up on a sunny day, the digital clock is barely visible). Some of the rgb light modes also started to have issues in the past 2-3 years as they'll stay a solid color & don't change.It's a pretty solid, the changing of the time is relatively fast (for daylight savings hours); the radio has all the usual channels, unfortunately it doesn't have am; I like that it has an extra usb port so I can charge my phone through it; the speaker is decent.Otherwise, I would like to have the battery be rechargeable (as it's plugged in), & to have the multiple rgb light modes be dimmable.
