Audio-Technica ATGM2 Detachable Boom Auxiliary Microphone

I bought this microphone hoping that it would work out of the box with Ubuntu 18.04 operating system on my Lenovo Thinkpad. It works and I am sorted.

I bought it a week back for my Audio Technica M40X headphones, To be frank this is an excellent product but what makes one less star for this product is the mounting mechanism. The adhesive tape they provided with the mic wont stay sticked for long, after a while you need to change the tape as it will come off. There are only three tapes provided. I think there should have been a better way to mout it. Except that one thing , mic is excellent, voice clarity is pretty good.

I bought this to attach to my ATH M50X headphones so I can have good sound quality for Skype and Zoom calls and meetings, as well as gaming and chat sessions. The quality is great and is much better than the tinny and low-quality mic of a built-in webcam or PC mic, or cheap in-line mic. Finding the correct mounting point can be tough, but I attached it right beside the AUX input on my headphones, and the mic sits about 1" away from the left corner of my mouth. The directional pick up and pop filter make this sound almost like a professional setup, as it reduces ambient noise and keyboard noises, as well as hard vocal pops and sounds. Make sure to set up your PC's audio settings to pick up the "in-line" input or "mic" input from your back panel or whichever input you dedicate to the mic, as this was a little confusing to me at first. Also, make sure the in-line mute control is turned off when setting up, from experience ;) It comes with a handy 3-pole + 4-pole to 4-pole adapter, so you only have to plug one connection into your PC, if you wish to do it that way.

Je n'ai pas vu de commentaire en Français alors je me lance, dotant plus que j'ai le micro depuis plus de 8 mois maintenant.Commençons par la "base" du micro, je l'ai fixé sur un DT770 Pro (il y a une bonne surface d'adhésion, cela peut être différent suivant les casques) ça tient très bien, aucun problème là-dessus.Une fois le micro installé sur la "base", il se pivote et se détache parfaitement de celle-ci.Au niveau du micro en lui-même il fait très bien son boulot, le son est clair, pas trop étouffée, en terme de comparaison je le trouve égale voir légèrement meilleur au micro du Cloud Alpha. (pensez à brancher la prise jack sur la carte-mère et non sur le boitier et installer les pilotes Audio via le site de votre carte-mère c'est très important)Parlons maintenant du rapport Q/P, je l'ai eu a un prix raisonnable quand je le compare à la concurrence (ModMic), je vous conseille donc de surveillez les ModMic et le ATGM2 et de prendre celui qui aura le meilleur rapport Q/P.

Nice articulating boom arm, very clear proper volume mic (unlike the Antlion). My only gripe is that the adhesive doesn't stick very well to metal mesh, but easily remedied with stronger 3M tape. The angle of the cable coming out of the boom should have been pointed down to alleviate stress point but that's minor and can be solved by affixing the lower portion a bit higher to give it slack. This is a perfect pairing if you want to use proper headphones as a "gaming" headphone instead of the heavily marketed trash out there.

El micrófono tiene una calidad de sonido excelente. Como contra, el precio es elevado pero si tienes unos auriculares de calidad y quieres utilizarlos para jugar o para videoconferencia, sin arriesgarte a gastar dinero en otros que no estén a la altura, este es el que buscas.
