At least 5 coasters in a 25 disc batch so far....
I've burned a lot of discs, and I always use IMGBurn to burn my DVD's & BD-R's. Also I know it's best to not run other programs while burning. This batch of 50 GB discs started out fine...first 8 or 10 discs did OK. However so far the next 5 have been coasters, with IMGBurn either refusing them or trying to write the lead-in and quitting with a message about the media. Is this typical with this brand? I don't know, from the other reviews it seems atypical. But at these prices it doesn't take many coasters to become a money pit..Strangely enough, the manufacturer ID is Ritek-DD3-000....could be bootleg or real Ritek, IDK.I don't like writing negative reviews, but there it is.OK I've finished with the 25 disc spindle. 14 coasters! Optical Quantum 25 gb BD-R's seem OK, but I won't be buying any more 50 gb discs.

USED TO BE GREAT BUT NOT ANY MORE
These Optical Quantum OQBDRDL06LT-10 6X 50 GB discs were great when I first bought them but for some reason, they don't work as well as they used to. I tried to back up a lot of my data with these 50GB discs (since the 100GB discs are far too expensive at the moment). Many of them did not verify (using ImgBurn) and those that verified, I found some of the videos did not play correctly. In addition, I now see that the price of these discs have gone up. I tried Verbatim discs and they worked wonderfully.

Better than Verbatim!
I only use Pioneer brand writers since 10 years ago, and right now I am using the older BDR-206.With BDR-206, I have used Verbatim BD-R DL 6x but so far 4x can burn through successfully every time (Windows 10 built-in burner program) but it still grinds a long time half way when switching from layer 0 to 1. Nero would give up easily there. Burning Verbatim with the built-in program at the rated 6x was a shockingly low 30% successful rate. When the burning was successful, data read back is verified good.Optical Quantum 6x, the result has been amazingly perfect so far. The Windows 10 built-in defaults to burn at 8x, which realistic burn time is no different than manually setting to 6x. No matter 8x or 6x, there is no loud grinding sound or long pause when switching layers to test my nerve. Surprise, surprise, this Optical Quantum 6x is better than Verbatim 6x at a cheaper price! Burn with more confidence!

Coaster party with old drive, works well with new Pioneer
Initially I rated these one star. Tried them with Asus BW-12B1ST (1.03 fw) installed in my 6 year old desktop build on Windows 7 (AMD X6 1090T & GTX680) and all I got was three coasters. Drive is supposed to be able to write to dual layer blurays just fine and sure does do a nice job burning dvds. But does not work with these. Returned. (suspended)*UPDATE* Kicked it back up to 4 stars (possible 5) after doing some reading other reviews, etc. and decided to try a different burner. In this case a new slot load Pioneer unit attached to my new Acer Nitro black edition laptop (i7/7700HQ & GTX1060). Using only Windows 10 built in burner software I am happy to report a very successful burn of 6 entire seasons of Game Of Thrones (.mkv) on a single dual layer disc. And on the very first try! (New Pioneer burner > Pioneer BDR-XS06 Blu-Ray 6X/DVD/CD USB 3.0 Slim External Slot Burner) No more coasters. Pioneer BDR-XS06 Blu-Ray 6X/DVD/CD USB 3.0 Slim External Slot Burner

A very, very good BD-R DL disc. Don't waste anymore time looking at other disc and buy these.
These BD-R DL discs are amazing. Some very good quality when it comes to burning using these discs. I have used roughly 115 of these and only have 4 failure to complete writing errors when burning them. I have not had a single issue with them playing in my Sony bluray player at all. No artifacting, digitizing, skipping or pausing and then jumping forward. With these you will be able to back up anything digital you own that isn't the cloud which could be erased with out your consent or a hard drive with mechanical parts that could stop working. And from personal experience these things hold a ton of photos, A TON. Like other reviewers have said I would check to make sure your bluray burner can burn these disc before you buy. I had no problems with an LG burner I bought 3 years ago. A very high quality product which I would recommend and will keep buying for my own use.
