MA-90 Disc Brake Mounting Bracket

This adaptor worked perfectly on my 200mm rotor post going to a 220mm rotor. I use SRAm brakes, and although it’s not shimano, it still works wonderfully.

I thought I’d save a few dollars and get a disc brake adapter to go up from 160mm to 180mm brake system. What I should’ve done was spent the extra few dollars for a quality Shimano brake adaptor. I originally bought an aftermarket adaptor with two caliper bolts. I spent nearly 30 minutes trying to get the adaptor to not change position when tightening down the two caliper bolts. When it shifted it would cause the rotors to rub on the pads. I instead ordered this Shimano disc brake adaptor and had it adjusted and bolted on in less than 5 minutes. The conical spacers that comes with the Shimano made the install a breeze. Highly recommended.

Needed to adapt a 180mm rotor to 160mm fork Posts. Used with a Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Caliper over a Shimano XT RT-MT800 180mm Rotor.

I converted my rear 160mm rotor to 180mm rotor with this bracket. I have a specialized camber carbon with post mounts and shimano deore XT calipers. Fitment was perfect on the rear even though the directions say front only.

Decided to upgrade my brakes on my MTB to discs. After some research & reading about sub-par brake mount adapters (misaligned holes, less than straight adapters, no mounting hardware) I decided to go w/Shimano parts. I know there a bit more expensive, but figured stopping power & reliability was not something I should cheap out on.The SHIMANO SM-MA90 Disc Brake Adapter (for Post Front) was exactly what I needed to mount the SHIMANO M375 Post Mount Brake Caliper for my front forks brake. The adapter is a well made, quality part which came w/the 2 bolts & washers needed to mount it & the caliper to the bike forks. The bolts came w/thread locker preapplied. The adapter is also labeled so you know which way to mount it. This adapter was perfect for the caliper’s post mount holes, allowing for the 180mm SHIMANO XT SM- RT86 rotor to be installed.If you need an adapter to mount a caliper & allow for a 180mm rotor on the front wheel of your bike, the SHIMANO SM-MA90 Disc Brake Adapter (for Post Front) should fit the bill.Thank you for taking the time to read this review, I hope you found it helpful.

This bracket does exactly what it's suppose to do, and has no problem doing it. It's durable, looks good, easy to install, and it's Shimano. It's a pretty simple, but crucial product, no complaints. Not a bad price.

Adapter som monterats på sram bromsar, passade perfekt

Uso una bicicleta eléctrica con frenos hidráulicos y en orden de marcha van unos 125 kg con lo que de serie van bien si no te tiras monte abajo. Como le agregué un remolque monorueda hay mayor peso a frenar y ya que adelante lleva 180 quise mejorar el freno atrás (donde más peso va a llevar) de cara a tener una mejor refrigeración en las bajadas (aunque no era mala la frenada con 160) pues los frenos de disco cuando se calientan mucho dejan de frenar hasta que se enfrían un poco con el peligro que eso representa.
