Review: Takes a few tries but WORKS GREAT! - This little gadget is GREAT for sewing small jobs on the go! Shopping around for one, you’ll read mixed reviews. Some people love it, some HATE it. It’s all about being realistic about its capabilities and taking the time to learn how it functions. It honestly took me quite a few tries to get it right. I had stitches come completely undone as soon as I took my fabric away from the machine. It may take some patience but if you put the effort in to get it right, it really does work great! I use it primarily for sewing scrunchies and I have been able to work from anywhere with this nifty little sewing machine! I switched the bobbin to a full size spool of thread and it fits perfectly on the longer piece that came with it. Machine also came with some different colored threads and a tool to thread the needle. My machine came threaded which really helped me to know exactly which way the thread loops around before going through the needle. All in all, it is most definitely worth the super low price! I’m so happy I bought this! As a complete novice, this has helped me tremendously! Review: Do not waste your time - I spent a long time making sure I understood how to use this handheld sewer, but unfortunately it barely works. As you run the needle across the fabric, it skips many stitches, leaving holes in the area in which you're sewing. I gave it at least a dozen times over the same area, and could not once get a clean sewn line to hem the bottom of my pants. Extreme waste of time and money, go to a tailer.

Not for the inexperienced
I want to learn to sew. I only know how to hand sew. I thought this would be a good little device to practice with. The instructions are not very good, and rather confusing. I had to watch a YouTube video to understand how to get started. And I also have not figured out how to get it going lol. All I know is you push the button. And it’ll start sewing sometimes. And sometimes it does nothing. I can’t figure out how to make it sew every time. So of course it’s usually a surprise when it finally does it. And it leaves my sewn line looking like I’m Helen Keller. So I do not recommend for the inexperienced users, such as myself. Only plus is it’s cheap.

It does sew a straight line. It can be run on AC or DC power.
Got this Jeteven handheld sewing machine from Amazon's lightning deal. Well, be honest, I don't have high hope when placing the order. However, since the price is low after the discount, So I think not much to lose if this handheld sewing machine does not work. To my surprise, this small handheld sewing machine indeed does the single one thing that I need...make a straight line stitching. I am not crazy about trying to use this handheld machine to make fancy patterns. The unit comes with a USB connector. So I can power the unit either with 4 AA batteries or through a USB power plug. The included scissor is a piece of junk. Not a big deal. All in all, I only need this handheld sewing machine to sew a straight line. And it does that well. For that, I am happy.

Its ok
For the money I paid, its pretty decent. It is as described and came quickly. The biggest problem I have is the lack of control when sewing straight lines. If you want your lines straight this product may not be for you, but if you don't care, it's perfect. Also, it's battery operated and your able to plug it in, but the cord is barely 12" long, so you can't sew correctly unless you use batteries.

Easiest to use!
At first i thought it didn't work and then i realized i was putting the batteries in wrong LOL. its very easy to use and i'm surprised there's ANY bad reviews on it. It is under priced in my opinion.. in other words BUY IT!!

Too hard to handle, doesn't work.
This product was hard to use and when you finally learned how to use it, it didn't work. I read a lot of great comments on here and seen some good videos so I bought 2, one for my mother and one for my sister. I bought it for their Christmas stockings and they just told me now they tried them out... I hope i can still return.

Gift Well Received
I purchased this for my teenage daughter because she's expressed interest in learning to sew but I can't afford to buy and i don't have the space for a big machine that she might get bored with. She finds this handheld sewing machine to be pretty easy to figure out and she uses it quite often to mend tears in clothing, fix stuffed animals, make pillows, etc. It seems sturdy and it was very inexpensive. Definitely good value for the money.
