Works as described. As other's have mentioned, not as good of reception as the original factory antennae (only one station fuzzy in certain locations - not bad at all...). That's the only reason for four stars and not five. Otherwise, all other stations come in great, and its a much more convenient antennae for car washes. Also looks great!

Just installed it in last couple days on my '18 JK. I live about 25 miles outside a metro area, and haven't noticed any difference in reception.If you are wondering which way the top of the antenna should face, the answer is you don't get to decide. Turn the antenna until it is tight, and whichever way it is, it is. You can probably get about 1/2 turn while still tight but before you bust anything.The multiple pieces to screw together is kind of odd, but probably has to do with adapting to multiple vehicles. But in the end it all looks good.There is no nut to use to tighten or untighten, so you will have to hold on the rubber antenna part to get enough grip to screw it on tight. Hopefully I can get if off when it comes time. Although could probably grip it with a fat rubber band and pliers without scratching it all up.And I see why the car was will leave it alone. It is about tall enough to get to top of the hood. The car wash brushes would have to work very hard to grab it. I did wash my car once with it and no problems. My factory antenna was sticking out almost sideways in the wash and the last time the car was bent it about 30 degrees.So far I would recommend it. I have 2 other wranglers, will likely be buying one of these for both for the rest of the slushy car wash season in Minnesota.

I’ve had it for 24 hours so my review is on initial reception and installation. AM seems to have deteriorated, though it wasn’t great to begin with. FM is crisp and can tell no difference from my giant OEM antenna. Installation is 5 minutes or less. As quickly as you can unscrew the old one and screw the new one in, it’s done. Looks great, low profile. Haven’t tested in car wash yet but feels very secure and rigid enough that I don’t anticipate any problems.

I put this on a 2017 F150 And I also have a membership to a drive thru tunnel car wash. I go through the wash 3 to 4 times a week and no issues with the antenna. I bought this antenna since it was advertised as car wash proof and it hasn’t disappointed. I know the washing is excessive but my computer bought me a black truck and it’s always dirty in my eyes.

So obviously the only thing you want to know is if you can pick up stations. The answer is yes, but not as crystal clear.If you live in a city where the station is also located, I doubt you will have any issues. I live in North San Antonio and go to my storage in South Austin often(50 miles). I can hear my station fine all the way there, but when I get to my storage & start driving between the tin buildings, its a hit or miss type thing. I can literally move my truck forward 6 inches & get full static or hear my station clearly or get the off & on static. With my stock antenna, that was never an issue. No issues installing. I've been to the car wash & there was zero issues. When I installed it, I did notice that there was no copper plating. Perhaps if you bought the between part to attach the antenna to the vehicle, the sound quality might improve? Maybe worth a shot.Overall it looks good & I'm happy with the quality, but could improve by added a bit of copper to it. I'm not too sure how much that makes a difference, but in electronics it makes an obvious difference. Radio waves, I'm simply unsure. :)

I was looking for a durable, stylish antenna, that I could take through the automatic car wash. The car wash I use has some pretty heavy duty octopus washer fabric and it was hammering my stock antenna. I've been through the wash dozens of times and this new antenna doesn't seem phased by it. It'll take a few days to get used to the low profile. Radio reception seems fine, though, I'm in a urban/suburban area.

This short, flexible rubber antenna provides 95% of the performance of the original long one that was bent beyond repair from constantly snagging on stuff. Just one stretch of road on my daily commute where the FM stations are sketchy anyway, well that sketchy stretch is just a quarter mile longer. I can totally live with that. This antenna is better than the original in every other way. Highly recommended.

I didn't really have a need for my old 30" antenna and these short aftermarket ones look really good. the install really does take just one minute and stays put. Haven't really tested the sound quality because I run my bluetooth 99% of the time for music....but it looks fantastic on a truck that came with standard antenna. installed it on my 2013 F-150.cost $27 when I purchased it and I am very happy with it.

I can go through the car wash and not worry about getting it ripped off 7 inches high compared to 34” ish. Too long.

Came exactly as shown, feels cheap and doesn't look like it'll last long.Everything fits well and very easy to install, put on my 2016 F-150.

Really looks awesome put on my 2017 f150 limited and it actually gets better reception than original!
