Best Engine paint to use!
This stuff stretches very far and lays out great. I used a foam brush, Done 3 coats on my block and still have 3/4 can left. Olds gold has a very nice finish and sheen! Just make sure your positive on the color because once this stuff dries it's EXTREMELY tough to get off!

Bright color. Very durable paint.
Best paint for engine builds. Dries pretty fast, but takes time to cure. I was able to coat my parts and engine 3 times and I still have a little over 1/4 of a can left. I just brushed it on. I don’t have paint guns or anything.

Looks great and goes a long way
The paint can be applied many ways. I chose the brush on method. I painted the intake manifold in the house and the block/heads while engine was still in the car. The paint goes on thick and self levels. I was worried about seeing brush strokes but the paint smoothed out as it set. When i painted the block and heads, i had to use a separate paint cup so i could cut the paint with a little thinner because the temp outside was right at 60° and it was THICK. I have about 3/4 of the can left. And the paint looks great. It will definitely get me by till i yank the engine out and do the rest

Glossy but finicky
I chose to apply this with a brush, though i had concerns with brush marks. In this, though, the paint was great - it is fairly high viscosity, and glosses out very well, providing a nice thick coat. The colour is almost a match to the Engine paint I got on my Mini in England - i will have to see how it ages to match. Where i had issues was in the sensitivity to solvents. For an engine paint, i would expect that it would be resistant to solvents, including a quick wipe to remove grease (i could even live with a dulling of the surface with Acetone, since that is pretty extreme, but...) When I tried putting a second coat on per the instructions on the can, i got a lot of wrinkling of the paint even without using a solvent to de-grease the surface. And anywhere Acetone did get on the surface, the paint got soft and could be scraped off with a plastic spatula (which i ended up having to do because of the wrinkling...) I had to strip and repaint the whole valve cover, but this time i did just a single coat, and that worked better.

Perfect color. Great finish!
Restoring my MGB. Paint was perfect match for the engine. Brushed it on and it finished out like a full scale spray job. Could not have asked for better. More than enough paint to do two engines. I did clean the engine well, primed it with duplicolor etching primer. Great adhesion and great coverage. POR 15 also offers a great prep chemical but I had already primed the engine prior to my decision to use this product. Technical support said the etching primer would be just fine.

Fantastic engine paint.
Couldn't believe POR made this engine color for my 1967 MG engine block. Dries slowly , looks great. Made sure you wear gloves and cover anything you don't want it on. Clean with mineral spirits before cure. Don't think you can get it off anything after it cures! Clean block well prior to use and follow directions.

This stuff is TOUGH
Nice finish, rock hard, covers well. Note: Do not get this on bare skin or anything you want to keep clean. It doesn’t come off, so wear gloves and a face shield unless you want to wear it for 2 weeks lol. I use this for several different applications; including engines, transmissions, and frame components. It will probably outlive me. If you do spill, hit it with a bunch of acetone quickly (or their cleaner) or you won’t remove it.

This is gorgeous, thick, richly pigment enamel that flows out so nicely it looks sprayed. Most vibrant Chevy Orange I've ever seen, Way richer than the Dupli-Color Ceramic spray. Didn't cover SBC in one coat so had to buy a second pint.

This is not engine quality paint. Paint on the manifold burned up after the first hour of driving. Not recommended.
