Incredible Review: I used this book's "mirror magic" - to manifestby a certain date, a specific living space, new car, full time position at my job. I drew small representatives of these things on an old mirror of my grandmother's. It was the mirror I looked at every day before going to work. 1. New living space. I had wanted to live out in the country away from city lights where it was peaceful and I could bring my 2 dogs, who were temporarily living on a friend's farm. Within a month I found an old farm house and the landlord loved the idea of my big Bouviers living there. A natural spring bubbled on the property (it was like having a cool built in fountain at night- loved it!) All my friends and family just loved the place and I was about 1/4 mile from a natural flaming geyser park. 2. New car. I talked about getting that new car at my writing group, to my family and friends. I shopped for the coolest key chain for my new car and started car shopping. At the time I was saddled with school loans so I would not apply for one at my bank. When I moved to my new home I had left my grandmother's mirror at my mom's to keep it safe (it was very heavy and didn't think it would go up on the old farm walls without damaging them. The next year a co-worker suggested I try a loan through my credit union because they might be less stringent and I had recently become a full time employee (see below). I did apply and took my best friend with me to the credit union because I was too embarrassed to apply with my debt to income ratio as I had only been full time about 2 months. I had never applied for a real loan (outside of school guaranteed student loans). The banker matter of fact told to give her an amount and that I would receive an approval within the week and I could call in to check also. I applied for $20,000 because I figured I wouldn't receive the loan might as well go for my biggest dream at the time. I didn't receive an approval the next week in the mail or by phone. Then about 2 weeks later I decided to call on break from work on a particularly bad day. I thought what the heck, being told I was declined couldn't make the day any worse. When the banker answered and told me answer, I was at a particularly noisy station and wasn't sure what she said. She was so matter of fact about it. I said okay and she hung up. Two weeks later I was helping my aunt shop for a car and saw something I wanted. It was marked down to $16,000. I test drove it and offered $12,000. I figured when they denied they contacted the bank and received a disapproval, no harm I wouldn't feel so scared when I was eventually able to be approved. To my absolute shock the business agent told me to come back and sign the loan transfer papers from the credit union! A couple months later I saw a woman from my writer's group that I hadn't seen for a while, she just started working at my job. When she saw my car she admired it and I told her when I received it. Immediately she became excited as she reminded me that I had always said I would buy the new car before the end of July. I purchased that car exactly on July 27th! 3. Full time job. When I started my job it was only part time. It was a high salary job, but who cares if you only receive 2-3 hours of work a day. I held onto the job because of the benefits and potential to go full time some day. I was talking about going full time in 2 years and a coworker laughed at me and told me that no one had gotten full time work there for 5 or 6 years (which was true) and that I would have to wait at least that long to be considered because hiring was based on rank of time at the company and there were a lot of people in front of me (hundreds!) I told him I was still going in 2 years and he ridiculed me, but I told him I subscribed to a higher power than the company. 1 year and 11 months later I was full time! Years later when I moved again to a newer home my mom told me to come pick up my grandmother's mirror that I had written all over (had almost forgot about it). When I picked it up, the drawings all had dates I wanted to achieve these three things and I achieved them all exactly but the dates. I had lost my book copy of this book and recently purchased the kindle version to start manifesting a few things and so far I have achieved my master's degree, completed approval for my ph.d dissertation which means I will graduate early as I planned according to "The Magic of Believing." Right now I have my sights on a a specific new home to purchase and a few other achievements. If you read this book and follow the instructions, you will achieve your goals the more you focus on them! Success to you!

I wish I could give it ten stars! This is a legendary book that has been read by millions of people throughout the world. It's a gem of a book that has helped millions of people achieve their dreams. If this book had not been written, there would be no Liberace or Phyllis Diller because those two stars were inspired by this book to achieve their personal and professional goals. In fact, Liberace read this book many times throughout his life, and mentioned this fact during various interviews. He also wrote a song titled THE MAGIC OF BELIEVING. The recurring message of this book is that we have the power to create successful lives through the use of our minds. By monitoring our thoughts, words, feelings and mental images we have the power to positively influence our lives. As I read this book I took note of how many times the author mentioned the use of creative visualization. He did so because he believed that this was one of the most important ingredients to success. Thinking is Believing and Believing is Magic!
Though dated and trending towards, though not limited to, a male business and entrepreneurial model, one of the pioneering works showing how belief in one's thoughts manifests one's desires. Desire a vision for yourself? Think it, see it, attend to it and it will be realized! Part of the New Thought movement which originated several scores before The Secret, Ask And It is Given, and The Power of Intention. Whether conveyed through these more contemporary sources or other dated channeling sources such as JZ Knight's The White Book or Godfre Ray King's Vol One of the I am Discourses: Unveiled Mysteries or directly through authors like William Walker Atkinson (Aka:Yogi Ramacharaka) this principle...or spiritual law cannot be emphasized enough! Even health and healing seems to bend to the law of belief as Dr. Bernie Segal discovered in his Love, Medicine and Miracles. This work by Brystol comes way before so many others and is charmingly old fashioned while at the same time exciting and dynamic-. It offers many impressive examples that are sure to inspire!

Claude Bristol was a genius whose ideas still work today - Try it!
I came upon this book many years ago and it really helped me turn my life around. Several years ago, I bought the CD of the book so I could listen to Claude Bristol tell his stories as a means of reinforcing what has helped me succeed in so many endeavors including finances, relationships, and career. I recently had to replace it because I sold the car and left the CD in the car! I hope the new owners will give it a try. I have to think that it was meant for me to leave it behind for them to find. No matter where you find yourself in life, every day is a new day and a new opportunity to set things right and move on with a new life. I highly recommend getting this CD for your daily drive or listening at home, as well as buying the paperback book. The one with the red cover. They still sell the original version and believe me when I say, you will not be disappointed. It's brilliant.

Small print
I'm excited and I want to read this book, but the print is so tiny. Never seen a book with such small print. I bought a whole page magnifier. Bit of a hassle but I'm going to give it a try. Reviews are true when they said the print is small. Really SMALL.

I am grateful and thankful to my intuition to find me this book. I am reading a lot and trying to figure out things that looked confused to me, and out of this book, you get an essence of all your believes and how to get to the level you want to be and want to go. I am still on the second chapter and I am sure there are lot of evidence that how to tap into the right doos to get out and be free and be yourself. This is a powerful writing and although it was written 1950 It gives the right evidence of facts that has almost proven in the modern time we are living now and all those things know about mind powers through hypnotism and NLL are closely related into every this book teaches you. You may not get something from your first read but you have to reread it and you find your luck or miracle from time to time out of this book to you solution or to resolve your Situation to find out why or what you do that way to be yourself at the time of the book you read. My few cents here but they are worth millions of other noteworthy invalid cents we are attached to. I will let you know soon where I am standing after this book. Good read and glad I got this book.
